Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Probably gave a bit more than that over the years, ROTC, Texas A&M and at work; but lost track of it all, had a few blurry years myself.
The aftermarket exhaust system (flowmaster) is almost wide enough to put the tire underneath the bed. That new fangled ratchet and cable works slick though, beats the heck out of the old bar and bolt (which was always rusted in place) system I had on my '70 F-100. The USFS trucks always had at the spare on the outside in the rear fender. Best system imho.
The photos need to be sent to OT on a CD so she can do what ever it is to get them posted. So I doubt they'll be available for public display for at least a week, especially since OT appears to be on track for frequent flier status. (gets two bags of peanuts on flight).

Mornin'. I am here and shouldn't be.
Thought we was all goin' to first service, but wife wanted to sing in the choir, so she and Jr. left while I was in the shower. Knew I couldn't get Luke ready fast enough to make it by 9:00 (he's a very slow eater), so I decided to wait and go to second. Gave Luke breakfast at 10:00 a.m., tried to get him dressed at 10:30...he's still eating...it's the same poptart, mind you, but he's still eating it. I just wasn't in the mood for a fight.

If you don't want people to comment on your 53,000 post, Lord of the Rings thread, then perhaps you shouldn't post it on a political forum.. 1. It's in General Interest.
2. JR knows we're here and the majority of us are regular financial contributors.
3. We do indeed discuss politics here. Our local involvement in things such as FReeping, rallies, political campaigns and more.
4. Beyond that we've been supporting a unit in Afgahnistan with care packages (we've contributed significant cash and products) and prayer.
If you don't see the message that LOTR has for society today, then you're not looking. But beyond that, I don't really care if you like LOTR or us for that matter.
You aren't the owner of this forum. You're not JR, not even in the wettest of your dreams.
And, BTW, this is our THIRD tread.
