The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

So is the Hobbit Hole the last refuge of sanity on FR? Exactly how do you define sanity?

That one even shows the smoke coming out of his hair where he used to set it on fire - a really awesome scare-tactic for his crew and his enemies.

Good morning!

NC is a very seafaring state, surprisingly. Lots of good boats built there historically, still are, lots of good captains from NC, you find them everwhere.
Those pirates spent lots of time here in FL too, and of course, the Bahamas.

Teach was also apparently a ladies man, as it is said that he had around 14 wives. He treated women kindly and fell in love easily and treated each like his first love. Only his last marriage to a 16 year old young lady (thought to be Mary Ormond) is believed to be legitamite since he was properly married, but this happened during his last year of his life. His previous marriages were conducted on board his ship and were almost a common-place ritual to the crew.hmmmm

Good morning...
Who is that fellow in the picture? He looks like my best friend from high school.

Actually, the Impala doesn't have an antique plate yet. Just never got around to that. I don't know what the Camaro will be. I just know I will love it......
except that I am somewhat fickle. I was out at the park just now with my friend's kids and as we were leaving......
there was this 72 Chevelle, 2 door, perfect body, silver, black stripes, said "4 SALE" on the windshield. OMG, I about sucked all the air out of our vehicle when I saw that. That car would look REAL good on me.

His previous marriages were conducted on board his ship and were almost a common-place ritual to the crew. And we think carrying the bride over the threshold is romantic now! - To them, it was just a necessary burden.

I forgot all about 'the rabbit died' as a test. Exactly how did the test work? What about pregnancy kills the rabbit?
To: RMDupree
My boss made a very good and persuasive argument in his letter though. I hope they see reason and keep things the same. If not, I'll be helping my boss anyway because he is computer-illiterate! It takes him 10 minutes to open his mail. Gee Ruthy, couldn't they just let you both work from home, eliminate the office and utilities and give you a raise! They'd still save $$$

I have no idea how it worked...I think they injected some serum from the possibly pregnant woman and if it killed the rabbit, it meant she was pregnant.
I don't know much about it other than the saying.

Okay, this is a 72. And it's ratty compared to the one I saw in town just now. But this is close.
