Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

ROTFL! One should be most careful what one wishes for...
I never made it to the event (it's prolly finished by now). My car wouldn't start again. Security guard tried to help me jump it, but it wouldn't start. Ended up calling a two truck who was able to jump it. I drove it straight to my mechanic. Battery isn't charging. We HOPE it's just the battery...sigh...
Tomorrow, I will have to 'splain my absence...

They have to get out and go see it first!!! Seems like they're putting it off. Heck, I would go see it again for one of em. But, I had to go all the way to Oklahoma for it. And I had to use one of their dadburned pay-to-drive roads.

Looks like it's just your lucky day.. Not exactly. On the way back from dropping my car off we stopped by the dealer body shop for the van. Wife backed into my car a couple months ago. We replaced the tail light, but were waiting to do the body work.
Thought we wouldn't turn it in, cause it wouldn't be that much...Today's estimate $419.00. We're lookin' elsewhere...

Oh my. Sorry to hear that. I had a taillight busted on my former car once to the tune of that kind of price. It was special. Yes, very special!
That's why I think more and more it's okay for me to start indulging my real fancy of looking for an old muscle car. At the prices for new stuff you can about do all the maintenance and upkeep required for something cool and classic.
And heck, it's not like I have kids now. Who needs dependability?
