Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Ha! That graphic made me laugh outright!
Naw, I'm just kiddin' about the "chickens" for lunch. They are pets and egg layers...not meat chickens anyway. Benny Hen actually comes up and lets me rub her under the chin! They are pets.
But I did get a chicken for supper. $3 for a good size meat dish is just cheep...er, cheap.

Depp's interpretation of Jack was brilliant. I heard he had to fight the big-wigs on that. He was right on if you ask me. I thought they made a great team :-) I totally agree. I have to watch the film again because I know there had to be stuff I missed from Jack. He was just too funny.
I heard from my friend back home that it's supposed to be showing at the drive-in starting tomorrow night. You know, I just might have to run down there one night!

I tried to imagine if the part had been played more straight, as a dicaprio or other might have played it - and the whole movie would have been effected, for the worse I think. I agree. Someone who takes themselves too seriously would have really botched it up. Someone who takes their craft seriously did an excellent job. I'm glad to find out you two concur. I was thinking when I left the theater yesterday that my emotional state probably just made me think the movie was better than it was. (of course that didn't make me enjoy it any less)
