The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Throw a little anise in that chamomile tea, 2J. It should help quite a bit.
Sorry to hear you're feeling woozy.

Have any ginger tea? Ginger works well, too.

I really wish they could have the Extended come out at the same time as the theatrical version this time around! I hate waiting! Me too, but it'll never happen. They (New Line) want to squeeze as much blood from this stone as possible! They have to think profits, regardless of our desires.
Besides, I kind of like have something to keep looking forward to. After the super dee duper version is released in a couple of years, we'll have to start petitioning for The Hobbit from PJ! LOL!
To: RMDupree
Poor PJ! If he only knew the future we have planned for him!

How shall we recognize each other?

LOL! He's woken a sleeping giant and filled it with resolve.
I'd like to see him tackle Narnia too.

Do you have an ear infection that is causing vertigo?
To: ksen
re Serkis/Smeagol. Good catch- I'm glad to see him in the media a bit.
To: Sam Cree
Well, I believe we have kind of agreed on having something to eat first, maybe at the Cracker Barrel across the way there.
I guess the best way to do it would be to decide on a specific indicator that won't make us look "odd". *grin*
I'm sending both you and ksen my phone numbers via FR mail, just in case you need to reach me.

There is PLENTY in the trailers that weren't in TTT. I just recently watched the trailer that they put on the end of FOTR in the theaters and there was so much that wasn't in TTT! Now I'm impatiently waiting for that extended version to come out...ugh!

And now that I know more background and read that passage about Arwen's passing....I'm going to be even more sad during Elrond's speech!

No...I got a virus that destroyed my nerve between my ear and brain shortly before Joshua was born. I'm deaf in my right ear and sometimes I have vertigo. I think it might be allergy related this time though...fluid in my ear maybe? Who knows. I go months with no vertigo at all and then wake up to find the room spinning. This morning it was unusually bad...cold and clammy, nausea and spinning room.
Now I just feel slightly off and icky.
I was really lucky...they didn't know if the vertigo would ever go away when it first happened! I was 8 and half months pregnant and couldn't walk at all...just crawled everywhere! Then it started going away after a couple of hours in the morning. They gave me these "brain excersizes" where I re-trained my brain where up and down was and they worked pretty good. Some people never get over it and can never drive or anything..
I usually have some "discombobulation" first thing in the morning...not very bad and I'm so used to it I hardly notice...this morning was just worse than usual.
To: 2Jedismom
Wow. I'm very glad that you don't have it permanently! I hope you feel better soon.

Ok, I understand.
I once had an ear infection that caused extreme vertigo and nausea that was implacable. It put me out of action for a month. It started with occasional episodes of dizziness for 6 months or so, which I ignored, then struck so acutely one morning that I'll not soon forget it.
Am glad you have survived the virus OK, but I think that stuff can be dangerous, so please be careful and stay on top of it and don't take chances.

Good morning. It's still morning here. I just got done with my morning class. Will take a while to catch up. Ya'll are up to more posts than yesterday I think.

maybe I will put on a sticker that says Sam Cree. Or wear my blaze orange shooting cap, though I doubt my wife will go for the cap.
To: Wneighbor
Hi WN! There should still be some sandwiches left.
Oh, and I bought some tortilla chips and salsa. There's next to the sausages. :)
