Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Doncha just LOVE air conditioning!? the repairman just left... my drain pan was leakin'... even though it's under warranty, he charged $80 fer labor... rat-ba$tidge... I was out in the timber so the missus paid him... I'm gonna stop by and let'em know I'm "dipleased"...

well, to make matters worse, they were out to fix the furnace in March before we moved in... the fan blew up, and the furnace got so hot that it melted the AC drain pan... that's what caused the leak, but they didn't fix the drain pan when the fixed the blower... utter lack of common sense... and then to charge for somethin' that shoulda been fixed?...
and the icing on the cake is, when the repairman left the house in March, he left the front door standin' open (the house wuz empty) and a feral cat got in and sprayed the whole downstairs... we haada spend $150 to get the carpets cleaned and sanitized, but the playroom was so bad we had to rip out the carpet... we replaced it with a wood laminate... to the tune of $600...
that's why there ain't no feral cats around this neck of the woods anymore...
