The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Morning!
We've been very fortunate up here in Minnesota so far. We just got done with a few days in the 50s! It's getting colder now though. I'm sure when the snow finally comes it will come with a vengeance!
To: Sam Cree
Good morning Sam!
It is gonna be a good long movie!
Gotta start getting ready to go to Seattle.

Mmmmm...cheese biscuits! Thanks...I was hungry!
To: HairOfTheDog
I wish they'd do a really long one, with an intermission!
To: HairOfTheDog
Thanks for this posting! Grrr...I am going to have so much trouble waiting until December to see this. *sigh*

My dog is so funny on mornings like this! Being as short as she is (she's a mini dachshund), she doesn't do well in snow. She'll come barging out the door, get this look on her face like someone who just plunged into ice cold water, and run back in. I have to shovel out a little yard for her before she'll venture out again.
Her brother, on the other hand, LOVES the stuff. He just jumps and jumps to get from place to place and ends up being submerged most of the time.
To: RMDupree
Mmmm...that hits the spot. Now let's see if it stays down.
I'm most anxious about this ROTK. I mean, I get emotional just reading the books to myself...I cried when I read the end to Steve once (which I suspect is why he's so indulgent when it comes to LOTR...he knows how series I am about it.)
I am going to be a mess, I know I am. I'm glad to be coming to the Entmoot. I'll be surrounded by supportive and understanding people. :-)
To: 2Jedismom
Bring back intermissions! That would be great. Time to break and use the bathroom and discuss.
I doubt they'll do it, though. Why have they stopped doing intermissions anyway?
To: RosieCotton
I don't know, but if there was an intermission, they'd make money hand over fist all the people coming out for popcorn and such...
And I wouldn't worry so much about when am I going to go so I miss anything. There really isn't one part in either FOTR or TTT that I mind missing!
To: RosieCotton
That is too funny. I housesat for a couple that had that kind of dog. She was so sort and tiny! They actually built a ramp that went up to their high bed so she could get up there when she wanted. It was the funniest thing. She also would sleep totally underneath a blanket. She was the cutest, but strangest dog I'd ever seen.
To: g'nad
Hey g'nad, I misplaced your advice to me on what verison of a 1911 .45 I ought to look for...would you mind telling me again? Another guy I know thought I should keep to Springfield or Colt.
To: Dawntreader
My mom and dad are going to Florida over the summer...my mom has already told me we can move into her house while they are gone and housesit and take care of the puppy...(we're expecting a puppy any day now!)
Woohooo! Cable internet and cable TV for a week!
To: 2Jedismom
Maybe instead of an intermission they could either give us all bedpans or fit us with colostomy bags, then we wouldn't have to worry about getting up and missing anything.....

Ok guys, I need some advice. I'm getting ready to purchase tickets online for TTT tomorrow night. Should I get tickets for the 7:15 or 8:15 show?
I would like to do the 7:15 show, but I get out of work at 5:00 then I need to pick up my daughter, go home, eat, and head back to the theatre. That would put me at the theatre at about 6:45-7:00, do you think that would give us enough leeway to still get 5 good seats this far out in TTT's run?
