The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I'm outta here too!
I hope RoseBear and Beeps are right and that simply replacing the modem will do the trick. If not, it's gonna be a lonely weekend without you guys!!
See ya when I see ya!!

Recent re-shoot pic. I just love these spy dudes with the telephoto lenses.... OOOH! - We've got those tents, we've got a big rock wall, and a cool arch set there! I think I would like to paint a room "blue screen blue".... (I am in a really weird mood) (Copied on the spoiler thread too)

It wasn't an exchange...I did get it filled. It was the one that came with the Road Grill...you know, the one that fell into the street in front of mom's house? Pity they didn't leave it with a full tank, but we got a few things grilled before it quit. It's a tad beat up from the fall off the truck.
Funny how the public can be so different. The guy at the propane place walked out to my car and got my tank, never said a word, never made eye contact. Filled the tank, said "Fourteen Dollars." and "Thank you." That was it.
So different from the Baskin Robbins guy last night!

Woo Hoo, I'm home! Need to breathe some good air...been dumping chemicals all day and it's been, like, totally organic!
To: SuziQ
Hey Suzi...I have a question...maybe you and someone else can answer it. First, the requisite "story"...
There is a place in town that sells used things...a thrift store for charity deal, you know? For Downs Syndrome people. I love the place and go in now and then to just pick up a bunch of things I didn't even know I needed!
Well, today I picked up a bunch of great buys! I got a brand new in box paper shredder (with receipt in the box) and a little light that attaches to something (like for Matthew's top bunk so he can read, I got a tea-kettle and a bunch of glasses. Now here is the question.
I got a white coffee carafe. It has a black "screw" like plug on the bottom that when you unscrew it, the glass bottle inside the carafe comes loose...What is the purpose of that screw-like plug????
Oh, I also got a Hamilton Beach yogurt making machine! Looks never used!
And get this...I didn't pay more than .99 for any particular item. No kidding.

I'm glad to be home too!
Guess what else I did! I signed up for a program where you go by a church and purchase a box of food really cheap! It's not charity though. I was telling my mom about it and she bought a box and a box for a friend of hers too! Here is the link...
http://www.lhm.net/angelfood200307menu.htm I also got the Meat Box...do you know how long it's been since I had T-Bone!???

See? Someone just got killed during a pawn shop robbery....just saw it on Twilight Zone.
To: 2Jedismom
So did you get the steaks?
To: Overtaxed
Well, I purchased them...three 10oz T-bones. They come in the Meat Combo, which also includes 4 8oz New York Strip steaks. $15 for all of it.
I pick them up when I pick up the rest of the food on the 26th. I just ordered it and paid for it today.
