Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Oh my word! I knew better... I knew better than to post over there.
Whether I'm right or wrong is not the issue (because I'm wrong more times than I'm right)... The issue is why would you respond to someone you don't know in such a condensending manner.
My word! He's going to get the last word because I won't post what I want to say. I won't go all Gollum on him...
I've learned my lesson. Do not post in the religious forum... but, I want to tell him to "bite me" so bad that my brain is cramping...

I'm all stirred up...
These guys post on these threads because they get to throw their weight around and act like they have it all together.
Some (not all) are rude, belittling, and insulting.
But the sad thing is they don't consider how they reflect upon the name of Christ.
They don't seem to care about the reputation they have in other forums. In fact, they wear it as a badge of honor.
You've heard corin and ksen and I talk about the_doc... he is the rudest, but he seems to think that when he is called on his meanness and rudeness, he is being persecuted for righteousness sake. That's whacked!

But the sad thing is they don't consider how they reflect upon the name of Christ. That's why there are certain arguments in which I will no longer participate. I refuse to get back into the Arminian v. Calvin wars. I did go back recently for the Morg Wars.
And occassionally I'll go over and talk about things like worship styles, etc. But there is nothing over there that will help me grow in my faith.

I would, but it's the aftermath where I would have trouble... my conscience would smote me...I know, I was just funing ya, your probably smart staying away from there, it used to be a good learning thing, but everyone over there knows what the other person believes now and can see whats coming next, so its comes down to fussing with each other, and got ya's. I left the NES after being there for almost 2 years, there was more harm being done then good.

I am trying to decide whether I want to take the Agent Elrond approach (it's not my problem, y'all work it out) or whether I want to chip some cups and crack some heads...er I mean plates...
Honestly, I think the whole place is about to implode...and I really don't think I care.
