Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

My friend Mike has a cover band (classic rock mostly) that'll be playing right up the street at Hooligan's on US1 and Kendall this Friday night from 9pm to 1am. It's a nice place with good food and a great crowd.
If I can get a sitter, I'll be there! I can pick you up if you're interested. It's only a 5-10 minute drive from CocoGrove.
Sam Cree - that's just a hop away from your place as well.

OK. Babysitting was arranged already! Thank goodness for my sister! LOL!!
If you don't like the idea of loud music, we can always hang out and do something else. I just threw that in there since it is a convenient location and pretty fun. I've been to a few of their gigs and they're good!

I only used it one time, but was amazed at how well it works. I think it may not be great for your skin, though.
You can rent cabins at Flamingo, in the Everglades park. Jeanne and I, when first married, did once with another couple.
There are so many mosquitos there that when you open the door even for a second, 10 or so fly in. So, when you first get in the cabin, first thing you have to do is get a wet towel and go around killing all the mosquitos that are already in there with it. Those places have flattened mosquito corpses on all the walls and ceilings, lots of little blood spots from the mosquitos who were full.
I've never seen a black fly, they sound worse than mosquitos. We have yellow deer flies, which are bad, but attack in fairly small numbers, compared to mosquitos.

I've never seen a black fly, they sound worse than mosquitos.They're bad all right. Their one redeeming quality is that they don't bite at night! Also called buffalo gnats.
