Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Good Morning! Promises to be a lovely day here- we didn't get the freezing rain that was forcast! I love sunny winter days with crisp winter air and snow on the ground. Shame I'm indoors all day. Can't complain tho, I have waaaay too many blessings to do that.

Good Morning, again!
Hmmmm....maybe I should wait until more people are up before saying "Good Morning"They're predicting high winds here this afternoon that 'may result in downed branches and power outages.' Great...just what we needed. At least it's supposed to be in the 60's today.
To: Overtaxed
Good morning, OT! Looks like only a few of us Hobbits are poking our heads out of our holes this time of the morning....
Hope you weather your storm alright today....sounds like you are getting ours from last week! ;)
To: Penny1
Most of the precip was in the mountains....snow. At least the ski industry folks are happy.
To: Overtaxed
Snow in the mountains is a good thing! Our snowpack this year is beyond pathetic! We are going to be so in trouble later on in the year when we depend on the snowmelt for our water and electricity supply! :o
Batten down those hatches today! ;)
To: Penny1
Batten down those hatches today! ;) Yeah, really...and after I and my trusty Stanley utility saw cleared a path in the front yard this weekend.

The dwarf stands alone....As a step-child of Iluvatar the Dwarf doesn't HAVE to stand alone.
Morning g'nad!

Good Morning, Hair. You're waiting in line for Faramir, right? Let's hope he doesn't get whacked!

Good morning Hobbit Holers!
Let's have some breakfast!
Tons of French Toast with maple syrup; 1 platter of sausage links, 3 platters of bacon, hash browns; fried eggs (let me know how you want them) and plenty of hot steaming coffee - thick as molasses! :) ENJOY!
I had to stop at Office Max on the way in today and buy a new mouse for the office. Got one of them there fancy optical doo-dads and it is WAY better than the old scroll ball. I love it! I have to get one for home now.
The PC game works pretty good on the home PC now. The patch fixed most of the problems, except whenever I walk through a ray of sunlight, the screen goes ocmpletely white and I have to stumble around blind until I get out of it. I doubt it's supposed to do that, so I will reset the colors to 16 bits instead of 32 and see how that works.
I'm attempting it here at work as well. I'm copying the CDROM to a new folder in my hard drive and will attempt to run the setup.exe from there instead. My problem yesterday was that the cab files (ZIP files) would not open on their own for some reason. If this new tactic doesn't work, I give up.

Maybe we should have Deb clarify the matter.

I saw your post saying that you'd like biscuits and sausage, so I fried up some sausage patties and baked a couple dozen buttermilk biscuits.
I'll just leave them here by the French Toast. Don't eat them all! I'm hoping a certain Dwarf returns when he smells them! :)

I flagged Jen for breakfast. Let's see if she has time to stop by and let us know the scoop.
If not, at least she can have a bit to eat. :)

I don't need to ask! - The guy pulled the rumor out of his own head! - Faramir is not gonna get whacked!

I am glad you loved TTT! -
I like the Warg scene too... I thought it was great action, and not as gory as I feared! (I feared wargs eating horses while the riders fought) And I think it really worked to separate Aragorn from the group so that all could evaluate the impact of that... We needed it for Eowyn in particular (We kinda play with her emotions a bit, but don't worry.... she gets a good boyfriend in the end.) But it was also good to have Legolas and in particular Gimli feel the loss of Aragorn and added to the hopelessness of the situation at Helms Deep. Good heart thumping stuff!

Let's see what rumor I can start. Hmmmm.
A HA! I heard that Gollum pushes Frodo into the pit and that Gollum is sent to the Grey Havens instead!
