The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Still, I dream of the day I can sleep in for a bit again!
Maybe at Entmoot!
Not likely, because I'll be too excited to sleep in!

Yes, sleeping in at entmoot would be a bad idea. The dwarves will pull pranks on you, and since you didn't reserve a bedroom, we'd just be tripping over you sleeping anyhow!
Gonna be rough for me, because morning will be coming at 3:00 am! but I used to be a morning person.

A Star in Bloom6/17/03, 7:09 am EST - Tehanu
Canada.com's film columnist wonders whether Orlando Bloom's career will flourish as a serious actor, or whether he's always going to be "just a pretty face." [Hey, I'm just quoting what she said!] [More] The talkback responses below the article make for, uh, scary reading. Thanks to Maegwen for the link.

Is that where everybody went? I think Wneighbor is fixing a pipe. I just got back from lunch (what's for tea? Supper?)
To: HairOfTheDog
Lots and lots of coffee will be the order of the day!
Oh! And the Dwarves better look out for MY practical jokes! *wink*

A nice platter of bacon would make me fell better. I'll go check the oven...

The thread is alive! It's ALIVE!!
Wneighbor snagged the bacon out of the oven, Corin. So I had to make you some more.
It's on the shelf behind the stuffed raccoon. I had to put it there so as to be sure the Elves wouldn't find it. You know how touchy they are about getting near dead things!

[Yawn] Good morn...er....afternoon. Just popping in before I head out to do errands. We're expecting some storms later today, so I want to get my stuff done before they get here.

ecurbh, don't let the muggles get you down...

Thanks Ruthy! I knew you'd come through.

Actually, it's just a premade link from Amazon with about a half-dozen different banners that change randomly when you reload the page. And HP is just happens to be one of their current featured items. When I have time, I plan on creating a more targeted Tolkien-oriented banner.
To: ksen
I'm off now to mail a check to you!
To: Corin Stormhands
Oh...the "Order" of the Phoenix. For a minute there I thought it said the "Omelet" of the Phoenix.
To: HairOfTheDog
whether he's always going to be "just a pretty faceThere are always worse things in life. Pretty faces are nice.
