The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I'm glad you could figure that out.

I was all ready to hit the post button when I start thinking "there are four quarts in a gallon, right?"

Nice. Very clean. Don't worry, they will fix that in no time though lol. I like your back yard. Can't wait until we can move from here.

I was thinking about putting some out on the fence and keeping it trimmed, for the fragrance, but someone told me it would attract bees. Since my fence is so close tothe house I decided not too. I saw some somewhere where I was going to go did it up, it was wild, trying to remember where it was....

I emailed Steve and he told me to call the nurse! I think he thought I was talking about Joshua's medicine, but I can't understand why I would ever need 12.5 gallons of Joshua's medicine!

ROFLOL!!

6.4 oz of powder will make 12.5 gallons of medicine worth 800mg/gal. I want to make a quart of it a day.

About an 1/8 of an oz per quart.

Uh huh! No horse yet. About ready to start the lessons though. Been kind of tired. Little Darlins wore me out. I had a great time but I'm still recovering :')

Well, that's good then...right? I rounded up...

I tell ya...I'm an abject moron when it comes to math.

I can add and subtract...sometimes.

Yeah, I came up with the same number OT did (before I saw her answer I might add). .128 oz translates to an 1/8 of an oz.

Gondor might not do skivvies, but Gondor DOES do math. ;^)

Our VBS starts July 7. Not sure yet what I will do. I had a girl yesterday say VBS was so much fun and the craft project was the high point of the whole week. I didn't say anything, but you can imagine what I wanted to say:) LOL.

No...LOL I just scooped in an eighth of a teaspoon and it went straight to .1 so I added another third of the eighth. Next time I'll just put in a well rounded eighth of a teaspoon and call it good.
