Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

so I could get away with .13 per quart, I bet...
I guess I could measure it on my postal scale...

Can you refrigerate it after you mix it? You could always do 1/2 oz (.512 oz. to be precise) in a gallon.
To: Overtaxed
Has to be mixed daily...I thought this was be the easiest way...
I have a medicine cup and a postage scale...I can zero out the postage scale and measure it out in the cup...
Working on it now...

Ok...I weighed out one level 1/8th teaspoon and it was .1oz, so I added about a third of that 1/8th teaspoon to it and mixed it up.

.128 oz powder per quart. I'm glad you could figure that out.
I haven't had a math class since Richard Nixon was President...and his poll numbers were still good...

Becky

Nope...they both have the sniffles! Jar Jar doesn't act sick, but keeps sneezing and blowing out this clear fluid and just sounds all congested.

Did you see the Today show this morning? They had a guy at the Amazon.com warehouse in Utah? (Nevada?, somewhere out west...). They were packaging the Harry Potter books under heavy security. He couldn't even hold one up for the camera.
To: 2Jedismom
So how is Josh, can he take the same medicine as JarJar:), who gave the sniffles to whom:)? Maybe they are allergic to each other.

I gave Joshua some of my famous cure-all red medicine...(Triaminic cough cold and body ache medicine) and he's out like a light on the couch! He's taking the old stand by...Amoxil. Pink chewable pills.

Well, I got my new flowers planted. I decided to try a bunch of different things. I got some geraniums, portaluca, dusty miller, blue daze, marigolds. And I planted somemore sunflower seeds, and some cosmo seeds. The sunflowers I transplanted theother day didn't make it.
I actually filled in most of the space where the petunias were with some mexican heather that I already had. It was growing up against the fence and was not very noticiable, so I moved it last night. It is in full sun now, and already looks like it is growing. So I guess moving it didn't hurt. The spot still looks a bit bare after all those petunias but I like it better, and it should look real good when everything grows a bit.

I need some honeysuckle...the king that gets huge. I want to put it between me and my neighbor, along her fence. So when she gets another dog and neglects it, I won't have to watch...

Better then some I could name:).
Did you get a horse yet?
I am going to start back tomorrow morning riding. Haven't done much since the competition, we both needed a break. I have seriously been considering (with alot of encougarment from Mack, he has always wanted me to do it, but speed makes me nervous:), starting to train my horse for barrells. I figure if I don't worry about the speed at first, just build up to it, I may not get so nervous. I've done it before, I just didn't do it enough to get comfortable. So I'm going to try once more.
