Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I was watching Black Hawk Down. I'm still letting it all sink in.
That's a pretty sobering flick. I still haven't seen the first half of it yet though. I've seen from where the Colonel is hauling butt trying to get his humvees out of Mogadishu and then is ordered back in, gets shot, and then gets his men back out to the base.

Good morning!
Joshua went to bed complaining that his ears felt full and that they hurt. First time he has ever complained of something like that...maybe he just got old enough to articulate it. I gave him some Advil and some decongestant but I'm sure I'll be taking him in this afternoon.

No...thank goodness, no. He usually weathers even the occassional runny nose ok and he and Matthew are more likely to get stomach aches than respiratory infections!

Had an interesting day yesterday... got home from a visitin' neighbors, and I found a hummingbird laying on our back porch... bein' the ham-handed dwarf I am, I passed him off to the missus, who held him while he drank some sugar water... after about 10 minutes, he got his strength back and flew away...
BTW, the missus was sorry to post and run Saturday... we had to go to a friends house fer dinner... she'll get back to yuh...
Oh.... g'mornin' everyone... gotta go to the tractor store pretty quick... gotta pick up a few parts... then I gottta plow a food plot...

That happened to me once when I was in nursing school...a hummingbird plowed into the plate glass window of my dorm lobby (same dorm where I whopped the girl with the fan). Anyway...the bird lay on the porch and I ran out and got it...I just held it for a while till it came to it's senses and it flew off.
I love hummingbirds...ruby-throated are so pretty.
