Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

See ya'll in a few minutes. I'm fixin' to leave the house to head over to work. Back in 20 minutes or so. (unless they hit me with work when I walk in the door.)

Good morning!
Man...sorry about the busted pipe, WN. This comes at a rough time for ya. Sometimes it seems like everything happens at once!
Can't think of a way to blame it on hail, either! It's too early to be creative!
To: Wneighbor
Do you think a hail stone could have hit the side of the house hard enough to jar that loose? Maybe it bounced?
To: Overtaxed
Ricochet!
To: HairOfTheDog
Good morning!
Corin's right. Drink water, eat a banana.

Good morning. Sipping coffee here, waiting to take the kids to VBS. Then I have to pay for Josh's preschool, then I have to pick up some scratch, then go get my mom and sign her safety deposit box access card.
I'll probably just stay at her house and eat lunch.
To: Wneighbor
That's awful about your pipe, but thank goodness you were able to find a way to stop it! Is your pipe accessable under your house?
We have a slab and when I saw that water leaking out of the actual slab, my heart nearly failed.

Hullo! - Good Morning!
So long WN - WIll be thinking about you on your trip.
Corin's right. Drink water, eat a banana.
What about the mosquitos?

If yuh gotta replace yer water heater, look intuh these:

Bosch Aquastar... Tankless water heater... hot water on demand... kewl...
To: HairOfTheDog
What about the mosquitos? LOL! I was going to say that.
To: HairOfTheDog
What about the mosquitos?LOL! That was my first thought, too!
I think yogurt is supposed to help, too. Whether the mosquitos like that, I don't know!
To: g'nad
Is that the one that can be adjusted to make boiling hot water? Like for making tea?
I gotta go! See you all later!
To: g'nad
Heats water instantly? That does sound kewl. My water heater is bigger than the one that was in my old apartment, but I still can't, for example, take a long shower...or do a laundry and still have hot water for dishes.

So we think it is a potassium problem and not just that I sat in this chair on my butt all day yesterday and then got up and tried to trot around the pasture?

I have fly spray I use on the horses.... that would work I 'spose!
I am not eating Kim Chee. Anything that is put in the ground to rot for a month and then dug up again is no longer food.

it doesn't get the water boiling, though you can adjust it extremely hot... the benefit is you only heat what you use, and don't maintain a reservoir... pays for itself in a couple uh years... when ours goes, I'm gettin' one uh these...
To: g'nad
And good morning g'nad!
