Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Thank you. :)
To: Lil'freeper
"Dawn, that pic. Too delicious- what a great way to start a morning. Thanks!" It was my pleasure, believe me. ;-)
To: Dawntreader
I am not a trekkie either, tho my wife is pretty much of one. But I am glad that Star Trek is around. I liked the "whale" movie the best.
My favorite Patrick Stewart line is "Make it so."
To: RMDupree
Thanks, the food looks great!
I just bought that game for the PS2. I'm at the beginning still. I'm at the part when I have to avoid the black riders. It's actually creeping me out lol. You can hear them galloping closer and closer, then you have to hide. If they see you there's this creepy cut scene.
To: Dawntreader
I really don't want Nemesis to be the last TNG movie... Me either. But it is. Have you seen it?
To: Overtaxed
Where is everybody? I'm here. But in and out. Work actually has a couple of deadlines today.
To: RosieCotton
Morning Rosie!
To: Sam Cree
Ah yes, I did love the original cast movies of course. Star Trek II was great. I loved Star Trek IV also. Great fun.
And yes, "Make it so" is my fave too.
To: RMDupree
Thanks Ruthy, for the breakfast and kind words! I played a bit of the demo for that game... It did look fun to play around with! I got to Weathertop in the demo, which is as far as it went.

Oooohhhhh....21 inches. Must not comment. Must not comment.
To: Corin Stormhands
Baaad dwarf!
To: Corin Stormhands
I had the same thought, Corin...OT is always making double entendres, for some reason.
To: RMDupree
Hey Ruthy, thanks for putting out all the food, this cold weather is giving me an appetite.
To: Corin Stormhands; Lil'freeper
Ow! Corin! All the elf and dwarf bashing is tiresome isn't it? I understand the sentiment, but I think it was meant to be at least in the same vein as the unending elf-bashing that has been going on just as long.
You two say something nice.
To: HairOfTheDog
Breakfast and kind words are the least I can do, Hair!
As far as the game goes, I still have to find out if my home PC is upgradable. I have more than the minimum requirements here at work, but for some reason, it won't let me install the game.
It gives me an error message saying it cannot locate the D:\English~1.cab file. When I do a search for the file, it cannot be found. Weird, huh?
That said, you've seen Weathertop? I can't even leave the Shire! LOL! It took me a half hour to get out of Bag End, for crying out loud!
To: RosieCotton
Good Rosie! - Glad you got through the first day! New places are very exciting, if you normally like adventures! Are the people nice? Is the work interesting? - Can you tell yet?
To: Corin Stormhands
Am I double entendre-ing again?
To: Sam Cree
Morning Sam, it's nice to see you back to posting.

I had the same thought, Corin...OT is always making double entendres, for some reason. Okay...what's so bad about 21 inches? or 15 inches? Do you have such thoughts everytime you measure something? :)
To: RMDupree
I know where the key is, and the deed, but I never found the Sackville Bagginses, I just kept wandering and found my way out of the Shire.
There are Wargs that eat you at Weathertop, but at least you get to be Aragorn.
