Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Keep an eye out for him! I bet it will be during the week though, because he is usually pretty busy on Sat and Sun. getting ready and giving his sermons, from what I understand.

Mornin' everybody.
I've been busy again this morning. I got up and wrote out cards. To a lot of folks I needed to and then finished by writing out the rest of my card box to send to the chaplain. So, 2J, should I send these to you or on to the address of the letter.
SURPRISE! I even have on footwear because soon as I read the morning's posts I'm headed outside to weed whack.
I didn't get all my stuff done yesterday so I don't have the stuff to send the package to my s-i-l ready yet. I'm going to work on finding tobacco products after work on Monday.

Mom is polite to our faces, at least. What she says behind our backs, I don't worry about. THAT is a blessing! I was terribly embarrassed by my family's behavior over my s-i-l when he was a soon-to-be. Even though we kind of know certain people are like that you really think they would have learned the decency to keep it to themselves!

Mmmmm, breakfast as I freep. This morning its a ham, mushroom, onion and cheese omelet.

Well I'm still here...sort of. In the middle of downloading a file I need to run midi2abc. It'll be another 25 minutes on this dialup. Think I'll stay put today...maybe try to record LOTR to tape since my pos dvd player won't work. All I have to do is get the vcr and the PC together.

All I have to do is get the vcr and the PC together. Better you than me. This is the first sunny morning we've had all week. Of course after all this rain my grass is bad but I don't have a mower. I do have the heavy duty ranch territory weed whacker so I'll get the edges down. Then I can borrow the mower from school Monday or Tuesday.
Ecurbh made me hungry though. Breakfast would be nice.

Weather is just plumb weird this last month. I like it here. I haven't even wanted to turn on the A/C but a couple of days this summer. I only have 2 windows in the den open now and no fans.
I suspect that will change as soon as I finish weed whacking.
