Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

The catch is that they get salt and other damage from winter weather...plus I do a LOT of driving on dirt roads. Most cars up here actually fall apart before the engine gives out.

yeah, i figgered that out...nice shag snaig...

Do not let this man anywhere near your house.... He's cute. I don't care what he wants to do around the house.

I would make sure that manager is on duty when you go. Well, I don't know what the manager schedule is - but I did get her name. And the guys in the tire shop all heard her - they were the exact same ones that were working Saturday night. I have already screwed myself up in preparation for an argument. LOL of course, we all know that mean's they'll probably be accomodating and I'll leave with all kinds of excess adrenaline buildup from the anticipated conflict and have to come home and throw knives or something to take out frustrations.

Ha! I think on that note I shall bid namárië as I head out for haircut and shopping. Need to get some summer clothes - shorts and sandals.

Hmm, makes me wonder where the Californians and New Yorkers are, those being the other highly populous states.
Also, am sorry to hear about your Grama. My advice, although you didn't ask it, would be to spend as much time with her as you can.

Namárië! ;~D

We should buy 2 vehicles we both like and trade out on an annual basis. My pick-up is a '99 I bought new. It has 174,000 on it right now. And it is NOT my only vehicle. I divide my miles between my bike, the old classic chevy and the pickup. It makes sense for me to own more than one thing just because of the mileage. I need to spread it around.

I like to go barefoot outside, 'cept 'round the horses! When Smeagol gets mad the way she takes out her anger is by deficating in a bad place. Last night I took some leftovers from the refrigerator outside and put them in her dish. If I feed her outside sometimes the cats run to her dish before she does, even though they have their own. (Smeagol gets the best stuff) So, the cats got to her dish first last night, Smeagol immediately took a dump right behind me so when I stepped back - you guessed it - there it was. And then! I wasn't sorry for her that the cats got the food.

Yes, I am leaning toward going after class on Wednesday. That will allow me to finish the insurance things I started yesterday and also spend the maximum amount of time with her for one visit.
As for the Californians and New Yorkers - ON FREE REPUBLIC!!! - What are you thinking man? Look for them over on DU.

YES youuuuuuuu...........
You must be an elf.
My daughter in Germany says that all Texas women must be elves. (has something to do with a Hank Williams, Jr. song and an opinion espoused by Gimli the dwarf)
Although, Alkhin, will probably not like that. And I don't know what species MyBackYard has claimed. We know RoseinRoseBear and I are elves.

EEEEK! (Though I was talking more about getting stepped on than stepping in!)
One of the things I have not gotten over yet is not wanting to walk down my hallway in the dark without turning the light on first. Poor old Zulu was losin' her bowels there at the end, and the hallway could be a danger in the middle of the night barefooted.

Well...my brother used to Freep more...hasn't had time lately, I don't think. He lives in San Francisco (!) - not your typical FR home, but he manages.
And I know someone who lives in NY who would fit right in here...
Not a NY native, though, I'll grant you. And my brother moved to CA - we certainly aren't from there.
