Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I have this extra little cast-iron skillet that I'm going to hang on the inside wall our the coop...just to remind our chickens that they better behave!
LOL

very true... I have the greatest respect for their military... the "Thin Red Line" was a force to be reckoned with and feared around the globe...
They have the character qualities of good soldiers... especially their wit and dark humor in the face of adversity...
as far as soccer goes, don't care for it... rugby, on the other hand... my Marines learned a valuable lesson in SWA... never challenge a Welsh unit to a rugby match... they invented the sport... and played it with the heads of their enemies... it was ugly...

that's what makes you our hero... I'm a rather dubious hero for such a fine group of citizens... yuh might wanna rethink that...

Hi everyone!
I'm downloading the Gollum video on my lousy dial-up, so I'll let you know how I like it in about 4 days! LOL!
Breakfast time!

Add a box fan for reinforcement. :)

Hey, I even told my mom about you shooting the head off that snake! She got a huge kick out of it! I mean, she laughed out loud! An unusual thing!
One day, my mom and Matthew were walking along and Matthew said to her "My mom sure is funny...were you funny, Grandma?" My mom replied firmly "NO!" Then added "I believe Aunt Pearl was funny." Ha ha! Aunt Pearl is famous in our family for laughing all the time...she actually died laughing at the dinner table back in the 40s or 50s. They say she had a heart attack, but I suspect she choked.

You're the wind beneath our wings...

To: RMDupree
Mmmm...waffles!
Good morning, Ruthy! Heh...I had a dream last night that I met your sister and was tellin' her all about how much we like you. ;-) Also had a chance to congratulate her. I think she was afraid of me, though...
To: 2Jedismom
the real funny thing about the incident is that Junior is about 6' 2", about 220... a big strappin' feller... deep slow voice... seein his reaction had me rollin'... and his voice got real high...
To: Corin Stormhands
You're the wind beneath our wings... hmmmm... better eat more beans...
To: Corin Stormhands
You're most welcome!
Check the oven before g'nad does.

I think she was afraid of me, though... We are a force to be reckoned with.
Just look at our military stockpile: firearms, bows, axes, frying pans, box fans, whistles...(natural gas...)...
To: RMDupree
g'mornin' Ruthy... and FWIW, I think yer lovely... and just the right size...
To: RosieCotton
LOL! My sister wouldn't be afraid at all! She would probably be relieved that a finally got some "normal" friends. *grin*

People surely do hate snakes, don't they? Myself included.
To: RMDupree
