Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I guess it's a brand, but no one else makes anything like it. If you can buy this stuff in your store then here's a great receipe and it might be good for your moot cause it makes alot, and your moot is in Jan. right, winter, this is great.
2lbs ground beef browned and drained
2 cans Rotel, whatever flavor, original is best
2 cans Campbells Minestrone soup
2 Cans Ranchs style beans
1 Can chicken broth
Throw it all in soup pot heat to hot....mmmmmmmm, it's really good. Becky

Last time I watched that, there was some "healer" on there who seemed to be a parody of himself. His name is on the tip of my tongue.... Ernest Angsley or Benny Hinn?
TBN is the Trinity Broadcasting Network - Paul and Jan (and the amazing technicolor dream-wigs) Crouch.
Didn't Jim and Tammy Faye have the PTL network? I am misremembering (perhaps on purpose).

In my precise neighborhood, the houses are 30-50 years old and run anywhere from 50K to 75K...mine is one of the 75K ones. In the nieghborhood just across the street...very modern, mid-1980s to mid-1990s, they run 90K-110K.

A very good dip recepie is"
2lb box of velveeta cheese cubed
1 lb sausage browned and drained
1 can Rotel
Put it all in a crock pot, let the cheese melt. This is great on chips.

This is them right? The Crouches?
Benny Hinn was really over the top. Do folks really believe in his healing abilities? Honestly?
I try to stay away from commercialized religion and seek the personal relationship I was instructed to do by my parents and pastor.
Disclaimer: I'm not trying to offend anyone nor am I trying to bring the religion wars onto this thread.

You are kidding, right?
The least expensive house (single family home) in my neighborhood is ~$175k. We've lived here for about 15 years and bought the place for $73k.
You can't even get a townhouse in a decent area for that price in Miami anymore. The townhouses in my community are well over $100k. My sister is renting one now - a one-bedroom - and she pays $880/month for it.
I am definitely living in the wrong place!!!

Yes. That's Paul and Jan.
Enough people believe Benny Hinn to send him lots of money.
And I don't think you'll find many defenders for Hinn, the Crouches or the Bakkers on FR.

Benny Hinn was really over the top.So is his hair!!
To: Corin Stormhands
Oh, look. It's raining.
Imagine that...
To: RMDupree
We eat that stuff all the time around here. You should at least give it a try. Rotel is spicy hot like a salsa, but it is not salsa

The house on the corner with the annoying cat is for sale...should I check it out for you? :-) How fun would that be???!!!

He is a silly looking man, but even sillier was his horse and pony show! No wonder some folks think Christians are weirdos if they think that's a representation.

How spicy is "spicy"?
Mild, medium or hot as compared to Pace Salsa?
