The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Found on another thread:
SINGLE BLACK FEMALE seeks male companionship, ethnicity unimportant. I'm a very good looking girl who LOVES to play.. I love long walks in the woods, riding in your pickup truck, hunting, camping and fishing trips, cozy winter nights lying by the fire. Candlelight dinners will have me eating out of your hand. Rub me the right way and watch me respond. I'll be at the front door when you get home from work, wearing only what nature gave me. Kiss me and I'm yours. Call (404) 875-6420 and ask for Daisy.
Over 15,000 men found themselves talking to the Atlanta Humane Society about an 8-week old black Labrador.

Any ideas for places to look? Did you check musicnotes.com? I can search for it when I get a chance.

Duhhhh...it's not Bb, is it? The B is flatted.

Dm, I think - the relative minor of F, so probably easiest to play on an F whistle.
But with only one flat, it might be not too hard to play on a C whistle, I dunno.
To: RosieCotton
Of course I could always use my handy-dandy ABC Tools software and transpose it into another key. :)

To: RosieCotton
Are you learning it on whistle, mando, or fiddle?

Mando and fiddle...same thing, basically.
To: Overtaxed
But it IS easier for me to change keys, true.
To: RosieCotton
I've got a C whistle....probably be the best bet. I've been looking for Concerning Hobbits. It may be in the full orchestral score, but they don't specifically list it. :)

I saved it, it sounds very familiar...sounds like Like Marcus Herndon's Air, maybe??

We're back from chicken burrito moot...it was fun, we visited for an hour. Got the eggs for my friend to hatch. This is gonna be fun!

Welcome back!
My mouth is watering just thinking about burritos right now. All I have to eat here is yogurt. :(

I am (temporarily) back from the mines. I was working on my Blog at lunch and lost a whole page. It is back now.
Have I mentioned that I hate my job? So much that I actually miss working in DeeCee?
To: RosieCotton
Not to mention it's a bit costly, isn't it? $80 for orchestra. $40 for band, but I'm a sneaky, tricksey hobbit! I found Concerning Hobbits in a midi file and software that converts midi to abc which means I can make sheet music. :)
