Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

It is true. Mastiffs as a breed are generally even-tempered.
My sister has a Neopolitan Mastiff like this one. A female about 6 months old by now.
I was refering to the less than flattering "stalker" photo they took.

I would probably take the ugliest one with the worst temperment problems, the one that I thought would not get adopted otherwise.

I gotta go...Matthew needs the computer. I'll check in later.
See you in a couple of hours, Becky!

Industrial quantities of drool. YUP! I thought my Basset was bad, but she (rest her sweet soul!) has nothing on Minerva (my sister's Neo).

Sure, just ask. Tell him what you said and that we bought some.
Then ask him if he would consider supporting our efforts with either a finanical or in-kind donation. Or, if he isn't the right person for the request, would he please forward it as appropriate.
Print out a copy of the newsletter. And perhaps if the chaplain says it's okay, a copy of his letter. Include those with what you send.

(my sister's Neo). Neo? Is he "the one?"

I've heard laying chickens are put in a cage big enough for them and a nest with food in front of them 24-7 and lights on 24-7. They just sit there and eat and lay. When they get past the age of lying then are sent to Campbells to make soup out of:) Maybe the ones needing to be caught are the ones that have reached the laying stage??

Yeah, but I'm sure you'd be concerned with the new guy fighting Gidget and/or tormenting Bay and Fatty!
The next dog you get has to get along with your present family or you'll ALL be miserable!
I feel most sorry for the ones that have the whole list of icons next to their pic (no small kids, no cats, no other dogs, needs meds, etc). That leaves them with very few folks who will adopt them!

I'm not sure. She hasn't been tested in the kung-fu program yet. ;)

To: RosieCotton; ksen
You will have to forgive him, he got his start on NES:)

Ok...I'll type up something when I can think straight (after the boys go to bed, in other words) and email a "draft" to you to make sure it's all proper.
I'm on the old PC out on the porch with the chickens...14.4bps modem. Ugh.
To: Corin Stormhands
Stay safe in the mines. And remember not to dig too deep!

I was refering to the less than flattering "stalker" photo they took.Yeah...not a very good photo, I agree!
I'm surprised to see this one in a regular kennel, to be honest...the guy I know who has one spent a long time searching for his dogs...seems like the people who had this one would have gone through a breed specific rescue group.
To: 2Jedismom
Yeah, see you at noon:)
Becky
Has THEM, I mean...he has two, not one.
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
Roy (the older black chicken) is on top of the water bottle trying to fly out of the box! The little gomper! When can I put her in the tractor???
To: RosieCotton
He's not in a regular kennel according to the link. It's a Mastiff Rescue group of some kind. Can you imagine the floors in that place? LOL!

Hm...yeah, I bet it gets kinda slippery there at times...
To: 2Jedismom
What's a tractor??
I think your chickens are probably big enough to go into what ever permenant coop you are going to put them in. Don't they have their feathers?
