The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Travel safe. We'll be here when you get back.
To: Alkhin
Thanks. I'll check that out. I wrote WebCrimson with a question. No response. I'm sure you aren't surprised.

Morning, Corin.
Raining here, showers coming in off the ocean, I guess.

Mornin' all. Where are we fighting today?
I gots my hand in a couple of "rock music is of the devil" and "if your hair's too long, there's sin in your heart" threads...but I'm just not up for that kind of foolishness.
We seemed to have quieted the daycare trolls. Maybe we should kept them talking 'til the sun came up.

Morning Sam. Rainy here too.
See you later. I'm off to the mines.
To: Corin Stormhands
Morning! Rainy here. Got a busy day. :(

Where are we fighting today? Development trolls. :)
Good Moring! I'm melting cow flesh today....yipee!

Here it is!Nice! Though it DOES sound like the midi file you're playing with (is that a midi file) is slightly out of tune with your whistle.
I love that tune...Johnny Cunningham played it at the concert we went to. That was my favorite piece he did, I'd say...I just shut my eyes and took in every note. My gosh, it was beautiful!

Did you get a postcard from Green Linnet? Redwood is out. I should be getting it today! I think I told you guys...I got a $25 Mastercard gift card for signing up for DSL...took them forever to send it to me, but I did finally get it. I used it to order Redwood and the new Old Blind Dogs CD. I've listened to Redwood at their site a few times...I think it's their best yet! Comes a lot closer to the concert experience I had than their other CDs did.

Cute pictures. I like the shoes. ;-)
Did you ever end up hearing from Jill?
To: RosieCotton
I'll have to order it when the credit card cycles over. :)

Who else plays the whistle or some other musical instrument and plans on being at Entmoot? We should be compiling some tunes to learn. We should, you're right. Here's the idea I had: maybe we could put together a mailing list, for starters. Then I think maybe we should each pick several tunes, maybe three or four each depending on how many musicians wanna be part of this. For any tunes we pick, we need to find the sheet music (and / or a recording or midi file) and provide it to the others on the list. That way we each have some input, and we make sure everyone has the music. Does that make sense?

I'll have to order it when the credit card cycles over. :)Yep! I'll let you know how I like it when I get to really listen to it. As I said, I THINK it will get here today.

Just checked in, and can't believe how honest you all are.
If this was the NES these would be spam all over the place. I figured last night when I went to bed this thread would be past 41,000 by morning.

Good hobbits don't spam.
It's mostly those crazy dwarves, Gondorians, Beorns...
