Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Yes, a young male pit bull is probably not best paired with a drama queen dog with a vicious temper about personal space! Well, the image made me laugh when I read it. If the pit is young and small enough Smeagol would take him. Shred him. But, as the pit grew.... oooo buddy, I'd have my hands full!

Hello!
Who else plays the whistle or some other musical instrument and plans on being at Entmoot? We should be compiling some tunes to learn. Nothing too hard, though...I'm still pretty new at this!
I'm enjoying Mist Covered Mountain.
I played my pennywhistle briefly for Becky yesterday, btw.

Well, that is good, we need more elves here, especially ones that are not afraid to say what's on their mind ;-)
I am more of a hobbit, but slightly more of an adventurous one, I wouldn't mind trying a transatlantic crossing in a small sailboat, but I surely wouldn't want to go into space, as Bear wishes to do!

but I surely wouldn't want to go into space, as Bear wishes to do! I didn't know Bear wanted to go to space!!! When I was in junior high I wanted to be the first girl-er-elf on the moon!!! But, somewhere along the line somebody told me you had to be in the military and I didn't think that was what a girl ought to do so I moved on.
After that my goal was coaching swimming. I always wanted to swim the English channel. I thought when I was a kid that I would definitely do that someday. Hmmmm... guess not. Wouldn't even start working up to it now.
