Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

mornin' OT!
melting any flesh today?...
To: g'nad
Awww...cute. I'll say it again...your daughter is lovely!
Older son looks a lot like you...harder to tell with the little guy. Is it just me or has he already grown? He looks big!
To: g'nad
melting any flesh today?... No not today. That's tomorrow's project.
Today is the conference phone call with the stupid cow from the EPA. It seems they can't do the rice method. :)
To: RosieCotton
Thanks Rosie... yeah, "thenewboy" has put on a pound and a half above his birthweight in three weeks... he eats like a pig... we're still not sure who he looks like...
To: Sam Cree

To: g'nad
Hehehe....I'd better not do that. Probably get fired before I'm officially hired. :)
To: g'nad
Tooooooooo cute!
To: g'nad

Didn't put much time in on #2 over the weekend, though. I got to working on websites and such, and you know how it is. Time just disappeared. Oops, sorry I ended up on the couch with a book last night. Was quiet here you know. Perfect evening to fall asleep reading.
But I know how that tie disappearing works - tho mine doesn't do it on websites - it just seems to happen when I'm working away here.

oh yeah? check this one out...

"thegirl" sure does love "thenewboy"... she is such a big helper...
To: g'nad
That pic is awesome. Look at 'em both looking into each other's eyes. It's good she's a helper. Big sisters are good for little ones to have.
I think thenewboy probably looks like thenewboy.

That's Ok, I was lurking and saw it anyway. Yes, a really attractive group of kids, they look fine in their short overalls.
I'd forgotten you had relatives in Miami, North Miami, I think? Miamians' ideas of how to dress are usually at some variance with the rest of the country, I notice. Probably the Spanish and Island influence here makes it even more different.

"thegirl" sure does love "thenewboy"...Looks like the feeling is mutual! What sweet pictures! What a great way to start the morning!
I wonder if the chaplain in Afghanistan could bring me an Afghani baby?? Just kidding, but just barely.
To: PayNoAttentionManBehindCurtain
Hey, I just got back on line this morning, just got your message..
The book I read says that pipping chicks that can't finish the job should be allowed to die because it is nature's way of keeping the gene pool full of strong chickens. If there appears to be something wrong with it, I would consider just leaving it to it's fate.
What happened??
