Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Ok, one family is definitely coming, the other isn't, so that means it will be me and my 2 jedis and this lady has 5 kids, so she might have quite a gang...but usually the big kids skip stuff like this. But sometimes they surprise me!
The lady that is coming does Operation Dear Abby each year with me and her husband is a Lutheran minister in Broken Arrow. The kids are very sweet!

She'll behave as long as I don't try to coop her up in the yard. Sometimes she is just in too *much* of a mood to be good. Not safe for her to be running around the yard, too many obstacles she could run into.... like my truck!

A pretty nice day here today. The forecast has "chance of scattered T-storms" all week....poor Frodo!
We thought of taking him to the zoo on Sunday...see if we can get a picture of him with the oliphants. Might need a telephoto. :)

The only problem is that it's more of a nature preserve than a zoo....all the oliphants will probably be out in the boonies. Think the zoo guys will mind if we jump the fence?
