The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!
Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog
Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Yep. A large percentage of the class. And of the 3 high schools in town, this one had the largest graduating class - even AFTER 84 of them were busted.

They back stab. I once visited a welfare client in the hospital after his wife stabbed him.
His comment was "She stabbed me in the back. Why didn't she just break my heart?"
Always thought it would make a great country song.

Rose and I have been thinking about going to see Nemo, but first we had to see X2 and Matrix 2 again; now that we have, we can go and see new stuff....

First thing I thought of.
To: Corin Stormhands
OH goodnight. But also good news. I took the pickup to Sam's between the graduation and the supper to get 2 new tires. While there the tire guy mentioned that a couple of the high schoolers had quit upon graduation. (The other day there were no jobs there.) I filled in an application while there. Also, found a Family Dollar store in town that wants part time help.

Always thought it would make a great country song. That would be right up there with "I gave her the ring, and she gave me the finger." Or, "She got the gold mine, and I got the shaft."

popcorn, M&Ms and drink $179.95LOL!
Glad you two had a good time at the movies!
To: Wneighbor
My high school graduating class was smaller than that... not only was it the only high school in town, but we didn't have anyone busted before graduation either...

In jail? - What a party-pooper town! Just call their folks for the love of Pete! Don't know if some did or some didn't. But around here if you're busted for alcohol near graduation - you don't get to walk the stage. One of those idiosycrasies. And of course at this late date no time to get a lawyer to make them let your kid in graduation. I wouldn't fight the law if Myranda was one getting caught. But, then you all know how much I loved going!
They had over 50 kids arrested at prom. As the kids walked into prom they were given breathalyzers. They arrested the ones that failed.
