The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I decided today that I need to have an epiphany. If you happen to have an extra one, send it this way. I am being most slothful these days. But I get this sense that there's something right out there that I'm just not grasping...
Good morning!
To: SuziQ; Bear_in_RoseBear; HairOfTheDog
No you're not! ;o) It's OK to admit it, Hair's not around with her stick tonight! Hair has a new respect for sticks! Maybe that was her epiphany and she missed it?

Fabulous Lil' freeper! Nicely done! Tanks. Good morning, btw. Raining yet again. Yesterday the newz-radio weather dude said this spring (month of May, I guess) we've had more rainy days than Seattle and more rainfall than Seattle. I believe it. Ugh. I just want a house.

Thanks- it was a ton of fun. Ecurbh, thanks for getting things posted so quickly, it looks great.
SuziQ, I know Hair wants us to be mindful of wear and tear on her Frodo, but as my day in DC was rainy and miserable, I kept the good hobbit folded and slipped into a plastic bag. It was also a convenient way to tote him about.
OT, I think the Baltimordor experience was a bit stressful on the fair hobbit. He wouldn't let go of that sword the entire time! Perhaps a quiet weekend enjoying your garden would soothe his nerves and restore his strength.

In hindsight, it's too bad you couldn't have taken Flat Frodo to DuPont Circle...to see the elves...
To: Corin Stormhands
Morning all.
Gotta run to the copy machine now.

but the classic chopper look, like Peter Fonda rode in 'wild angels' (an otherwise quite forgettable movie), has the right look to me. (with a knucklehead and disc brake in rear) I will 100% agree on that look. I have just ridden so long and my trips get long enough that I've learned to look for the bike that works best with my body. They designed the superglides for my build.

Mornin' Seamus!

I found out why the guys in Baghdad are asking for Tang. So, probably why the chaplain wants it. Their water storage is in a place that stays between 110 and 120 degrees. So, they're having to drink water hot water. They put tang in it to make a palatable hot drink. I decided I'm going to also put tea bags in Tom's next shipment.

Hi everyone!
I've got myself awake enough (finally) to serve breakfast, so here we go!
Scrambled eggs with ham, cheese, mushrooms and green peppers in it; 8 platters of bacon and fried ham slices; OT's hash browns are on the hot plate and blueberry muffins and buttermilk biscuits are on the table in the basket. Coffee is as strong as a Uruk-Hai this morning due to the dreary weather I'm experiencing here in the southern part of the Shire! Juices are in the fridge. ENJOY!
300winmag - Cool hawk! It's even cooler that you were able to catch him on camera!
Becky - The Hobbit is a much simpler tale than The Lord of the Rings is! Maybe it will be easier to digest when you finally encounter some humans in the story. LOL! I think you will really like it before all is said and done.
Lil'freeper - Excellent Flat Frodo pics and storyline. Since I am the last HHD to receive Frodo on his journey, I'm worried that I won't be able to match up to what's been said and done previously. If I can do half of what you did, I'll be proud of myself!
2J - I think a GC is a great idea for the Chaplain! I'm so glad to hear they may be homeward bound at long last.
Hair - That stick was wanring you of the upcoming SPAM by Bear! *grin*
Seamus - morning sir! Would you care for a bit of breakfast?

Morning Ruthy!
I walked twice around the pasture this morning with Gidget.... we now have new blood running through us and we are invigorated as we wait for our epiphany.
To: Wneighbor; 2Jedismom
Tang tastes good hot? eeeek.
2J, we should send them a couple bags of ice. ;~D
