The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I just learned it today! I haven't had a chance to play it yet to see if it's even in the same key! I found it in "The Session" website.

Here's a picture of the boys in their "Spiderman" tee-shirts from just a few minutes ago, before they left for the hockey game...

I like the look of the English stock better myself, tho I've never shot one.

I see where Browning makes an auto 12 ga especially for women, perhaps there are used ones around...still have to be sure of fit tho.

Think I will go out to the local sporting clays range, where I believe some qualified instructors hang around.

I have an old Stevens 20 ga side be side that I got in 1962, very plain jane + it kicks harder than my 12's.

Thanks for the help.

I've had enough whistling for now...I wanted to record those tunes for OT to listen to real quick though.

Think I'll put in TTT soundtrack!

How can you be comfortable in an orderly room? :)

Neatness is the last refuge of the non-creative.

except that I have been rejected by about 25 publ agents

Hi! Have you considered self-publishing? It probably wouldn't make you rich, but it would get your work out there and make you some money, anyway.

It's not particularly neatness, merely avoiding the guilt that Steve would heap on me if he came home tonight after a hockey game to a mess with me sitting in the middle of it scarfing down popcorn and chatting on the computer! LOL!!! I had the house spiffy before he even got home...he can't begrudge me some computer time now!

Hullo all. Just checking in while I stopped to use the phone.

My Mom just called from Tasmania. My step-father had a "spell" with his heart last night and is in the hospital. He's okay, but he had about 45 minutes of chest pains and his heart was beating irregularly. He's had two - or is it three - quadruple bypass surgeries, but is for the most part still strong and healthy. They'll probably keep him hospitalized until Monday (which will still be Sunday for us). But it appears they will miss out on all their inland tours. I hope they can still do some.

I told the Mrs. that I know it's not all about us, but that we're not going to answer the phone anymore...;-)
