The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

No, no food or drink...it was like we'd all just arrived and were so excited to meet each other we hadn't unpacked or anything...just sat right down (and some were even still standing, and 300winmag had just arrived) and we were all talking at once.

It was really neat and I've been tickled all day because of it.

those pictures of that poor cat that went around about a year ago - the REALLY unhappy looking one that was shaved like a lion or something.

LOL, I remember that. The owner/servant asked for a "line cut" but his accent made it sound like "Lion cut".

If looks could kill. Poor kitty.

I am not going to shave him naked, rather, use those guides that will leave it half an inch or so. He just has really long hair, and when he sheds, he gets matted, and my dad can't brush him or clip the matts out without getting shredded. Then there is the hacking up of hairballs. He sleeps with this cat, and the cat is a mess. This is my kitty number 6 that he wouldn't let me take with me... he is older than the hills.

So I had dad get some tranquilizers from the vet, and I will clip him. Tomorrow.

I laugh till I cry at those pics. Of course, that's the look I get quite often from my two furry bosses.
