The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I just candled the eggs, they are all looking good.

It's damp, chilly and cloudy today:(, but in a way that is good. I need to clean house and do some food preperation today. We are having a family cookout tomorrow. My brother is in town, and my Dad is coming to see him, and we are all getting together here. My brother is from Las Vegas, and my Dad from Grove. My brothers 2 kids live around here, so there will be 14 of us. So I'll be in here all day today, makes housework more enjoyable, when I stop to reload and see what's going on on FR.

Thanks for the reveiw. I did watch about 15-30 minutes of the movie this past winter. But it was late in the evening, and I don't do well late at night with coherent thought:) I am an early to bed early to rise person.

After this weekend is over, I will have more time in the afternoons and will try to watch it then.

It's sunny here, too. Guess I'll have to cut grass this afternoon.

We're in the midst of the closest thing I've seen to a frog strangler in WF. It's been raining for hours. That's a first.

Good morning!

I am over defending women's nature to ogle at men. An article is trying to say that women have only been tricked into doing that. If I have been tricked, they sure did a number on me! Is this how the Matrix works?

Okay, I funkled waiting for somebody to talk with. But, I have an urgent prayer request. I talked with my daughter in Germany this morning. She was very sick last weekend and ended up having an emergency visit to the doctor on Saturday. They wouldn't give her any antibiotics because of the pregnancy. Yesterday she went to her OB. The OB gave Jill antibiotics but said that if she isn't improved by tomorrow Jill will have to go in the hospital. And she's got my 2 youngest grand-babies and of course the s-i-l is in Iraq. I'm really upset because there is nothing I can do to help her. If she were anywhere on this continent I could just drive over to take care of the kids so she could get the care she needs. But, she doesn't have anyone that she really feels comfortable with leaving the kids with to go to the hospital so she just said that if she's not feeling better she's not going back to the doctor tomorrow. This started as allergies and has progressed to the flu. She has frequent history of allergies turning into pneumonia.

Please ya'll pray!!!

Oh dear! I have to pray she finds someone to help her with the kids! - Even if she doesn't get admitted to the hospital, she will need the help of a good friend.
