Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

No, you have chickens, and that makes you the Hobbit Hole Chicken eggspert! LOL!
I think perhaps I will live, but I was taken aback by one egg being different.... these are store-bought eggs, and usually very uniform.

Hey Sis!! Wasn't today absolutely gorgeous??? I've been praising God all day for the sunshine and the relatively cool weather and my boys feeling well enough to get outside and play and soak up the fresh air and vitamin D from the sun!
The flying show in Muskogee must have ended around 4pm because all these really neat looking planes flew over then, on their way to the Jenks Airport, I guess!

Good morning all!
Have a very busy day off planned. First we're going to go get MD drivers' licenses- something we have to do now that Big'ol has 'retired' from the Army. This is guaranteed to be difficult as we are not illegal aliens. Then I'll make a journey with Frodo to Baltimordor and grab a few pics. Somewhere in there I have to take some boxes to the storage unit- am trying to make some elbow room until the move.
We saw the Matrix again and a second viewing improves some segments and makes others worse. It made more *sense* this time in that the mystery that makes up the cliffhanger is more clear. (I suppose if I were liberal and hip like the W. bros I would have got it right off...) The sgi was even more obviously bad- good sgi should be seamless and transparent. You're not supposed to notice it! But entire fight sequences were sgi- it was tacky.
Oh and a movie mistake: During the chat with the Oracle, the word "one" is spray painted on the fence in the distance. Later on during the sgi fight with a mob of Smiths the word "one" is gone but elsewhere on the fence is the word "mob" can be seen (and I don't recall seeing it in the earlier scenes).

There have been reports that the sun will come out here today. I'll believe it when I see it. Supposed to be sunny today and tomorrow, then turn cold and rainy again thru the weekend.
Does not bode well for the opening of the pool...

Do either of you have a clue why my logo graphic on my blog sometimes shows and sometimes doesn't? The other graphics are loading fine.
But when the logo doesn't load on the blog, the link also doesn't load on my profile page here.
Can you tell if it is something I've done or is it a Webcrimson thing? If I'm gonna have problems like this, I'm not gonna stick around Webcrimson either.

I'll wait until I can get a real dragon. I thought elves didn't like dragons.
Good Morning, everyone!Where's the bacon?

Good morning! I accomplished absolutely nothing this weekend. Watched movies, but didn't get any of my outdoor work done and didn't clean up the house. Bad hobbit.
Also found out (after getting here) that today is clean-up day here at the college - the staff chips in to plant flowers and pick up around the college. So I SHOULD have worn junky clothes. It's not the end of the world...I have something not TOO fancy on, but not really work clothes.
Rats.

Good Morning!
I did get some garden work done this weekend. Now I have to clean the house, etc. Yuk! Can't I just get the Gamgees to do it for me?

good morning.

Oooh - Morning Lil'freeper! - Have fun with Frodo today! - Looking forward to it!

Did your old boss tell you which part of town he relocated to? He's bid on a house in Overland Park now...
To: HairOfTheDog
Good Morning!
Is the coffee on? Where's the bacon?
To: RosieCotton
Bad hobbit.I am a sortof bad hobbit too on the home front. I wore myself out at the cemetery cleanup Saturday, so yesterday I got next-to-nothing done. I took the garbage out. WOO HOO.
To: Overtaxed
I don't know anything about the bacon, but I do need that coffee! I am sleepy this morning, but at least I am not dead.
To: HairOfTheDog
It's been cold and dreary here today. I think a second cup of coffee would hit the spot!
To: Overtaxed
So do you have a plan coming together now? - Heard talk of trying to get some interviews there at home, but being saucy if you want to be.... Because you can always go to Kansas... Would you just find a place to rent at first? Sounds like a huge adventure to me, I might just run away!
To: HairOfTheDog
You and me both, Sis! The whole prospect seems overwhelming to me!
Maybe chickens today!

Guess we have deep and stubborn roots in the ground!
Is the chicken tractor finished? Do you have all their little food and water dishes? - Have you made a banner?
