Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I believe there is a band called Lothlorien. Their work can be had at mp3.com. Kind of ren-festy celtic sounding stuff. Nice on the ears, not terribly remarkable.

Although I was once told that at my level of shooting (which isn't that great), it doesn't matter whether the thing fits me or not. The other guys know more than me, but I think fit is everything in a shotgun.
You guys like the double barrels huh!? Man, I love the pump action! I like the sound of it! Especially in the dark.

Bay waits... He won't pee in his stall. I don't know why! Never had a horse that had issues about it. If I sleep in late he can barely stand when I get out there, and it is really sad to see. I don't think it is good for him to hold it, but he does!
The pony has no moral dilemma with peeing in her stall. In fact, I think she sometimes waits to go until she is in. She likes to pee in the shavings... Doesn't splash on her legs so much! ;~D

Does she need her shots? Our cat and dog both need Prednizone (sp?) shots again...sigh...we've heard that once you start you have to keep 'em coming. 'zat right?

"but I think fit is everything in a shotgun."I agree with you on that, I am going to make very sure that I get one for my daughter that fits her right. After all, the sun rises and sets over her.
I have an old Mossberg 500 pump that I got for a boat gun 15 years or so ago. It has an 18" barrel with open choke, an 8 round magazine + a 28" barrel that can be screwed in for bird hunting. It's a rough and somewhat ugly gun, but shoots well, I like it alot. The thing actually has a bayonet lug on it, tho I have never thought to use that part.

Hi, Corin.
My wife has also worried that the "Hole" could be some kind of an internet cult type of thing.
However, it helped that I pointed out that FR is really a political site, and that that is what brought all of us here. It really helped when Paul Atreides put Rush's head on Michael Jackson and it got on Rush's show, which she likes.

Nothing bad is going to happen because the shots wore off... but ongoing symptoms would come back, certainly.

I hear yuh... haven't gotten out much the past few weeks... had a couple of hunts ruined by city-boys and new hunters... I've tracked 6 deer this year for guys who couldn't find 'em and were wanderin in the woods... our season here ends tomorrow...(sniff)... then... depression sets in... I'll start scoutin fer Turkey season in a couple of weeks...
With a shotgun, fit is everything... I like the feel of an english stock... for me, it's easier to get into my shoulder and get my cheek on...

He got a job! Didn't he?Aye, that he did.
I start next Wednesday. For those that don't know, my company laid me off 5 days before Christmas. Actually, it turned out to be a good thing, as I was able to collect unemployment for a while, and then I accepted this new job last week.
Got to spend the last 2 and a half weeks with my wife and daughter...it's been the best vacation ever! lol

Why are they on it again? I think we missed a Frontline dose while we were dealing with the funeral stuff. They're both losing hair again. We're gonna get the Frontline for this month over the weekend and see if that takes care of it.
