Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Morning!
Class is over and my life is good again. Sort of... The briefing I was whining about weeks ago went over so well that I got volunteered to coordinate an in-house training program. Yippee. More work. More griping. *sigh*
On a lighter note the acronym for the project is BRAT- branch requirements and training. Based on the acronym alone, I'm perfect for the role. ;)

Very quiet in the hobbit hole this morning.

Good morning!
Trying to decide what to spend $25 on...I (finally) received the $25 MasterCard gift card thingie that was a freebie when I signed up for DSL. Now I have to decide what to spend it on. CDs, probably.
Or...I COULD order a case of Vernor's...maybe. Hmm.

You and ksen put too much stock in oceans. What will happen to you when the asteroid hits the planet and a tidal wave wipes you out?Someone posted a map a while back that showed what the earth would eventually look like after "the big one." If it's accurate then Palm Bay will be the new Miami. ;^)

Thanks Corin. I went to bed thinking too. I like the Real Texans Don't Run. But, I really like The Yellow Spines of Texas. I think I'm gonna use the first one though... Short, sweet and to the point. One lady from Ft. Worth contacted me and said she can be there about 1:30. I am going to call the GOP headquarters here and see if I can get anybody. But, I'm off within the next 10 minutes or so. Have camera.

Very quiet in the hobbit hole this morning. Probably because I'm away.... I've been chattering away every morning for the last week. And I'm about to be off now.
To: Wneighbor
Best of luck to ya! Come back with a full report, you hear?
To: Lil'freeper
Sssshhhhhhh.....I'm still sleeping.....zzzzzzzzz
To: RosieCotton
Or did ya ever get them bushes you were lookin' at?
I could think of lots of ways to spend it if'n you need hep.
To: Wneighbor
Okay. Be safe. Have fun. Travel only by day.
To: Corin Stormhands
Or did ya ever get them bushes you were lookin' at? No...I didn't. But I think it has to be used on-line...it's a virtual card thingie. I suppose I could print out the card info and see if a local place would take it, but I don't know if that would work.
Maybe I could get a movie or something...though I rarely buy movies. Not too many worth watching over and over.
To: Wneighbor
Drive safe Wn! Good luck on the FReep.
Maybe you could put "Real Texans don't run" on one side and "The Yellow Spines of Texas" on the other.
Keep lots of mental notes to update us with when you get home.

Thanks for the well-wishes ya'll. Will give a report when I return. Due to the fact that I'm going alone I really don't feel very much use doing this. But, I can't sit here and read the posts on it again all day either. THAT woud be really useless.
We need to make a group showing. And I can't believe the apathy in my fellow Texas voters.

Not too many worth watching over and over. That'll change when Elanor comes along...

That'll change when Elanor comes along...That's assuming Sam ever shows up...
I HAVE seen Toy Story about a zillion times...my little sister used to watch that just about daily.
