Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

You don't have to worry until the sky turns green. My area gets tornados very frequently also. So, when the sky turns green and things go still, then its time to head for the basement.
I'm doing arabic right now. It hurts my head.

Hey everyone... we're all fine here... still ain't got internet at our house, but that's a saga for another day...
tornado missed us by three miles Sunday... summa the neighbors came to seek shelter in our basement...
all is great... missus g is gonna be induced on Monday... she is happy about that... she ain't comfortable...
I'm at the library... great resource here...
got my tractor, brush hawg, and my ridin' mower... what more coulda man ask for?...
miss you all... even the homely dwarf...

They're reporting right now that a tornado touched down west of Richmond (about 25 miles from where I live).

Yeah, but the tub's upstairs! You know we're close enough into the city and surrounded by enough trees that if a tornado got thru to our house a basement or a bathtub wouldn't help!

No... if you don't have a basement, then the bathtub is a safe place to go... either that or an inner room (which is my bathroom) Or... you can go running into the thing, screaming, "we're all going to die." I find that helpful also.
