The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I voted, but I'd like to add some comments.

Sea World is nice, but has few rides. It's mostly all about the shows. Go Shamu!

Magic Kingdom is highly overrated. It's a lot of fun, but very packed ALL THE TIME. But it is Disney World, so there you go! It has Space Mountain, Splash Mountain, etc.

I prefer Universal Studios and/or Islands of Adventure for the rides (Jurassic Park is way cool!) and the shows (Terminator, Spiderman, Shrek 4D, etc) for kids and adults alike. They have Toon Lagoon, Marvel Super Hero Island, Dr. Seuss Landing and so on.

But I'm game for any of them!

Go Shamu!

We were at Sea World (and Disney World) when Jr. was two. We brought home a stuffed "Shampoo the Killer Whale"...

I voted.

LOL @ Shampoo!

I figger since Jr is older, he'd have a lot more fun away from the "baby rides". That's why I prefer Universal to the others. There is something for someone of every age to enjoy.

I found Disney World to be more little kid oriented and let's face it, I think it's better to split up and take the little ones to Seuss Landing while the older kids go ride Spiderman rather than force everyone into It's A Small World!

It's A Small World!

I absolutely want to see "It's a Small World"! I remember it clearly from Disneyland!

And Pirates of the Carribean (will Orlando be there?)

Where is Hair? - She started out on the "Pirates of the Caribbean ride" but she disappeared and didn't come out!

Yep...she's been hanging out in the yard SLEEPING!! A while ago, she was sleeping under our lavender. I'll get her a treat when I put the box out...it's drying now.

She's used to us.

From what I hear Pirates OTC is more PC than it used to be. No pirates chasin' wimmin etc. What's the fun w/ that?

Jrs. not a big thrill ride person. He doesn't (yet) do roller coasters. My personal preference would still be the Magic Kingdom. But he may opt for Universal. In the next couple of years we're doing a family trip there. When Luke is a little older.

She obviously hasn't heard about the coney stew.

Is that paint on your floor?
