The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

The yard vacuum is to help get them up so I'm not still raking leaves up next May. Okay, this is prob'ly a real dumb question so you'll know how much of a hick I really am, but why don't you just mow over your leaves and make 'em mulch in your grass?

Well, Your name I am comfortable with. I will not have a problem remembering that one. But, this problem dawned on me today as I was getting the check for ksen. I have mailed mint to OT, Corin and Rosie in the last 2 or 3 weeks - and I had to stop and actually think to remember their names.

Anyway, I'd pull on the pull thingy but it wasn't meeting the resistance that it should so I just took the top off and put it back on so that the little.....um....thingies that "catch" actually caught again. Started up great! I could tell exactly what you did. Reckon the mechanically inclined dwarves got it as well.
Actually, knowing that I've spent the better part of my working life drawing mechanical things doesn't it make you a little nervous that I name parts like that?

Stinkin' tornado warning. Gotta shut down. They say one's been sighted somewheres. Probably way up in the sky and won't come near.

Umm...not really. I mean pull thingy and flywheel thingy describes what they do which is easier for me to remember than their actual names.

Life is good. They were nuts. The tornados were in Oklahoma. They are going north. Doesn't take a doctorate in geography to know that a tornado in Oklahoma moving north isn't coming to here.

Well, the job I just finished was at a place I had worked before. I started it in mid-March, but it was just a 6 week contract. The time off comes at a good time though... I'll be able to get our stuff ready to move, which should be happening in the next month or two.

I found a website listing hundreds of palindromes, so I figured I'd put them to good use!

Umm is my preferred sentence starter, but I think it is equivalent to Uh. I think I usually do "Hmmm."

Well, have fun looking! I have always enjoyed that looking part. Even when I didn't end up buying.
Okay, they say the stinkin' storm is coming south now. But, I think the tornados wore themselves out.
