The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Steve went to his office to work on his take home exam. Once he finishes, he'll just have Tuesday to go to school...no more evening chats in the Hobbit Hole.
But I'll be glad...life is easier and more fun with him around.

OH! I'm here now. Okay, everybody see the egg dog Smeagol? Yes Hair, she is a doll. But, the way she it lying there is how she is all the time. Always slinks up to you on the ground. It's cute, darling really, until you know that she does it because a previous owner was mean to her.
She has made it clear to us that the cretin was a male person who wore baseball type caps because she will approach (slink up to) anyone except a male wearing a baseball cap. For them, she poops and runs under whatever she can find to hide under.
She likes us wimmin though. And any man that doesn't put on a cap or shout.

But I'll be glad...life is easier and more fun with him around. We're real glad to hear this. It would be terrible to be married to someone who isn't fun to have around.
and that's all i have to say about that and corin will say, "must not comment."

You know, I just want to say now that entmoot is going to be a beast for me. I am terrible with names anyway. And all of you have other names. I already know my brain is going to be in name-mush.
Back to housework. Sally Field has a date with a different guy tonight. You know, since they like her now. I will be nuking a burrito.

We're back. We won.
Jr. had a couple of great plays, including the game winning catch. He got the game ball.
He also had a couple of bonehead plays and struck out because he wouldn't swing. Then he smarted off to me when I told him to shake it off.
We had a chat...

Secretariat was a Virginian.
Even though I went to school in Kentucky, I never went to the Derby. But our photographer friend who now has her business in D.C. still photographs a lot of the social events there. She has quite a few stories.
Hmmmmm....julep.....

The way things were going, I thought that Corin might be lurking nearby. :) What the heck is that supposed to mean??????

X2 was better than the first X-Men, IMHO. Jr. wants to go. We're not going to try tonite, but do I need to see the first one before the second? He's seen the first, I haven't.

Isn't that just a fancy word for piling it out back? That's what we do now!
I don't have a compost pile (yet) Wn. I'm still getting going and I guess I need to start one (can you compost dog poop? we have extra...)
Our property backs up to a wooded area, so we usually either blow the leaves or rake them back there. Over the winter they decompose and Sam the dog adds more decomposable products.
The yard vacuum is to help get them up so I'm not still raking leaves up next May.

I thoroughly intend to call everyone by their screen names and I don't care if it hairlips the nation. :-) It's how I know everyone. Except for g'nad. I like his regular name better.

I still chuckle that you have my email, my address and a check from me and you still respond back to "Corin" in emails!
g'nad told me though that he's had that nickname since he was 15.
Speaking of which: g'nad, where are you?
To: Corin Stormhands
Reverend Mother, I have funkled...
To: Corin Stormhands
Yep...it's gonna be Corin, e-curb OT, Hair, Rosie, Carton, and Wn. I'll probably call Ruthy her real name.
Who else?
I've been called 2j before by freepers.

I know about those pull thingys and flywheel thingies. Well if that's not what they're called, they should be. :)
Anyway, I'd pull on the pull thingy but it wasn't meeting the resistance that it should so I just took the top off and put it back on so that the little.....um....thingies that "catch" actually caught again. Started up great!
