Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Okay, so how would I attach the tarp to the roof so it didn't blow up into Tulsa? Staple guns are your friend. That would work, I would think.
To: HairOfTheDog
Don't make it too long a message,They might circle around again!! LOL
I tell ya, I still am amazed. I still can't believe it.
You were the first person I got in touch with afterward, so I was slightly hysterical. It had literally just happened a few minutes before. Then I got ahold of Celeste (my best friend, got me in touch with the Chaplain) and then I spoke with my parents, then Steve.
Then I wrote the chaplain about it and then his wife, and we talked back and forth about it for a while by email last night.
It was thrilling. One of the most thrilling things in my life. Every time I start to calm down about it, I think about it again and I just get more amazed and thrilled again!

Cool... I think they just check the person that signs the lease, we would be supplying the money. But lets see since ksen has worked with these folks already, if they can work with him.
ksen, I think it would be good to be up-front about the fact that we are not just one family, but a bunch of different, though good good God-fearin', people. Make sure they don't freak at the last because they think it is going to be a big bash when they see us show up.

Hello and good morning everyone! Breakfast is ready!
Pancakes and maple syrup, scrambled eggs with ham, cheese and green peppers, 8 platters of bacon and sausages (I am optimistic that g'nad will be here soon!), OT's hash browns and plenty of fresh baked buttermilk biscuits. Coffee is brewed and juices are chilled! ENJOY!
2J - How cool re: helicopter! I wish I could've seen that! Also, about the castle, there are 5 rooms and 3 of them have 2 double beds I think. That may work for you, Steve and the jedis.
Rosie- thanks for the link to the hubba-hubba-dubya. I enjoyed it immensely! *wink*
Corin - Nice OOOO snaig!
ksen- I will be staying FAR AWAY from the sea at Entmoot! I am terrified of sharks so I rarely go into the ocean, but I'll be enjoying that heated pool for sure!
Sam Cree, Bear & Rose, SuziQ- you guys are definitely staying in a hotel then? Well, at the very least, be sure to stay as close to the castle as possible. :)

Ha Ha Ha. Veeeery funny. It is to laugh. Ha. Ha.
*really laughing now*
Oh and I went back to the castle website and they say: "This vacation setting is great for family and/or friends get-togethers, for togetherness, but with space for private time. "
See? We fit the criteria! :)

I can come with a tenth in two weeks when I get paid again. So if this is something we are really serious about doing we need to get decided in two weeks.
Whoever is in FReepmail me and I will get you my snail mail and you can send me your share of the $535. When I receive it all I will meet with the property managers and get our final questions answered and get the paperwork started.
Then we will have until July to get the balance of the rent to me. I don't mind being the responsible party on the lease, but I will need the cash up front before I can write a check to cover the remaining $1,800.
Then I will need the security deposit by September.

Gimme the website again and I'll forward it on to Steve...get his opinion. Sometimes he surprises me!
How much would it cost "per person" for the four of us?
