Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

and just as important, where's Mrs. g'nad. And is there a new baby yet? (okay I'm here, Explorer crashed...)
I think there's still a couple of weeks before the baby arrives.
He said he'd be back May 1st, but maybe it's just taking longer to get settled.

Ksen, good morning! - I am surprised to see you on the castle list, but I am not sure why! - Why would you want to be far away?
IOTN: Kids are welcome, 2J's little ones will be there, and probably g'nad's too. There are five bedrooms where you could get quiet and some privacy, and so far none of them are really claimed, though they will be!

I will probably end up renting a hotel room since Jeanne and my kids will most likely continue to be slightly freaked by the event.
We are all close friends in a way, but to my family, the hobbits and dwarves, even a beorning, will be exotic and somewhat strange. They could probably use their own space to retire to, at the end of the day.

If I work out late in the evening like that, I never can go right to sleep... I didn't do the weights last night. Swam and did the hot tub. So I was pretty mellow by the time I got home. I checked in here, but was falling asleep at the keybord.
Of course, by going that late, I think I disturbed this couple that wanted to boink in the pool...

How does that work? - Do they just want one person that can pass a credit check? Is the deposit money still charged or do they just want someone that has a credit card with $2000 available on it?

Actually, it'd be like a minivacation for my family. I'm sure my wife and the kids would spend a lot of time boogie boarding in the surf. And I wouldn't want to leave you guys without someone local around to guide you where you wanted to go. ;^)

Is the deposit money still charged or do they just want someone that has a credit card with $2000 available on it? I'm guessing they want to actually hold the money. We get by without paying a security deposit at Nags Head becuase it's my brother's house. Everyone else has to put down a couple hundred bucks that you get back after you check out.

I have been finding baby leaves on all my plantings of lemon balm this week.Oh good! I have so much of the stuff that I was planning on using it as a foundation plant.
