Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Yeah - It occurred to me that they are clearly only renting by the week. I suppose that means that any *extra days* would be *before* entmoot, rather than *after* like I asked in the poll, if they rent by a Mon-Sun "week".
No matter! - I will be spending some extra days in the state somewhere, and if a few folk can come along to Disney and Kennedy and such, all the better!

Entmoot is in peak season. I forgot about that when I was looking. I'm used to January being the off season. So I think it means that, contrary to nature, we'll have to be hasty about this decision...

But yes, he'll be awake long after all of us are in dreamland...

Ha! A couple of weeks ago (Dwarf-Moot weekend), he had a Middle School Youth Group "Lock-In." He got about 20 minutes of sleep. Mom picked him up at 7:30 a.m. He came home, played a while on the computer and went to bed.
When he woke up at about 7:00 p.m., we realized he had slept through baseball practice...

That looks like a great deal. But it also looks like we'd have to behave too much. Still the thought of dwarf-dipping in the private pool...

Aren't you the Master Event Planner Extraordinaire? Well, since I haven't been able to find a job doing that for over nine years, I'm not sure you could really call me that anymore...
I'm happy to do what I can. But I'm almost thinking you might want to check out any location before we book. Plus, it may be easier for us to send bucks to Florida for the deposit. But maybe not. Can we put that much into Paypal?
Ideally, I'd like to see us have a big ol' place, do the three movies on Saturday and have dinner at the place on Saturday night, rather than eating out. I know you've graciously offered your home, but some would really like to have pints and then you've got them wimmin what can't give up their pipeweed...
