The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Good morning all.
Getting ready for my next to last Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing class right now. This might be a booger, even my A students messed up on the assignment I gave them Tuesday. Probably means that *#$**@% teacher didn't go over the assignment well enough huh?

You'll find the new thread right away. I will lead you there! On safe paths... Didn't Gandalf say something like that just before trying to cross over Caradhras?

I concur... and young ones tend to pick up the worst habits in the older ones...

Happy Real Birthday
Hoping, again, that it is relatively hassle-free.

The Wellington City Council will decide tonight whether to underwrite the refurbishment of the Embassy Theatre. New Line Cinema - the trilogy's home studio - says the capital can only host the Return of the King premiere if the theatre is up to scratch. New Line says the theatre is a crucial element in the premiere.Sheesh, New Line has only made about $2 Billion dollars on the first two films. You'd think they could pony up a little bit of that to help Wellington get its theatre up to snuff.

d think they could pony up a little bit of that to help Wellington get its theatre up to snuff. Wasn't that an interesting story? - And if the theater was good enough for the first two how bad can it be?

$196 for the whole thing!?
Sheesh! We're going to end up paying $1,000 just for Elizabeth's eighth grade video curriculum. That includes the DVD's, Student Books, Teacher books, Tests, Quizzes, and answer keys.
The other two boys will probably cost about $500 together.

Why would they do that to you? - Maybe the got the date wrong!I'm hoping they have the date wrong too. I can't imagine them voluntarily missing out on one of the biggest opening nights of the year.
There are plenty other theatres around town to see RoTK on the 17th, so I'm not worried about that. I'd just like to be able to see it in the best theatre in town.
