Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Morning all!
Off to a good start here. Big'ol is still puppy sitting and Wyatt's mum has decided to start hitting the gym in the mornings. She's dropping the Beagle-baby off early enough that I get to play with him before heading out to work. Yaaaaay! He's still a darling. Has a serious obsession with my slippers. Loves to hunt them and bite them and thrash them and break their neck. Teeheee. (still smells like hound)
And my sister-in-law sent pics of her ultrasounds. A baby boy the docs say. What a little miracle! She's due in Aug. sometime- I can't wait to be an aunt.

Good morning! It's a dihydrogen monoxide disaster area out there. Lots of it in vapor form.
I slept in. Somehow didn't even HEAR my alarm clock. Hopefully that doesn't reflect how the rest of my day is gonna go.

Could be worse...we're supposed to get up to three inches of dihydrogen monoxide crystals tonight. Sigh!

Good morning, Wneighbor! I slept in and didn't have time to make coffee...at least I have tea here at work, though it takes twice as much to get my caffeine kick!

Morning Rosie. I'll share my coffee with you. My boss is retired air force. He says it's air force coffee. Not everyone on faculty here will drink it. But, I like this sudden fiery burst of caffeine after a bad night's sleep.

I meant to tell you yesterday that the lemon balm seems to have recovered from its trip. For a couple of days it either had jet lag or some kind of postal shock. Alive but kind of wilty. Yesterday morning - it was up and springier than Gimli's ax in a circle of orcs.
Today however, after several hours of rain, it looks positively elvish!

I guess I should have wrapped the roots better. :(
Still have a bunch of the stuff. I can't decide whether to leave it at it's naturalized location or move it closer to the foundation for that shrubbery effect.
