Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I have made it a point to control my temper and take it easier than usual. Glad you're feeling better Ruthy. I'm no Dr. and I don't play one on FR, but I think it does really sound like stress.
Note to self: Do not, I repeat, DO NOT pi$$ off Ruthy...
To: Corin Stormhands
Okay...I'll can the pity. :)
Sounds like you need your own study or someplace away from the ...um....stress sources.
Perhaps you need a nice, soft, purring cat to pet.
To: RMDupree
Just relax....have a few Car Bombs. :)
Glad to hear you're feeling better.
To: Overtaxed
Got the cat. She's demanding too...
To: Corin Stormhands
LOL!

It looks like the Hobbit Hole is filled with stressed out folks. *grin*
And you have not yet ever ticked me off, Corin. With the exception of when you took your hiatus and left me Dwarfless in here. :(

Welcome back!

I do feel much better, OT. It is DEFINITELY too early for Car Bombs, but not for mimosas [sip!]. Want one?

And you have not yet ever ticked me off, Corin. That's because you're more dwarf-tolerant than some of them elf-lovers...
To: RMDupree
Mmmmmm.....Mimosas.....
Maybe you should grow some lavender....the scent is supposed to relax ya.
Or take up gardening...no one wants to get drafted into doing yard work so it's just you and the plants (who never talk back.)
To: Corin Stormhands
hehehehee....
You'd think with all that age old wisdom they'd have a better sense of humor!

More Pictures from Afghanistan
Here are some more pictures from the chaplain! Here he is, according to the email, leading a group in prayer for the nation. G'nad, what is that tube that is running down the length of the tent at the top? Is that air conditioning?

And here he is, with another chaplain. This other chaplain did an article in the last Desert Devil Dispatch I sent out. Our Renegade Chaplain is on the right.

And here he is with his assistant. I don't know if this is the same young lady in the care package pictures...I think it is.

Needless to say, it's more than likely stress related and so I have made it a point to control my temper and take it easier than usual.I hate it when I have to do that!
To: Corin Stormhands
That's because you're more dwarf-tolerant than some of them elf-lovers... You haven't ever ticked me off yet either. Are you going to try today?
To: RMDupree
It looks like the Hobbit Hole is filled with stressed out folks. *grin* And I just popped off a cap on my tooth while having milk and brownies. Now to call my dentist, who is making up his own deck of cards, and I'm the jack of hearts.

Maybe you should grow some lavender....the scent is supposed to relax ya. Or take up gardening...no one wants to get drafted into doing yard work so it's just you and the plants (who never talk back.) She's right on all those counts Ruthie. Lavender is very soothing and gardening gets you away from lots of stresses.
don't listen to all those people that talk about bugs, drought and stuff. plant some herbs, they're really weeds and just take off on their own.

Cool pics 2J!
It is so nice to see their faces!
How's the leak?
