The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

The Hobbit Hole Care Package Project
Pictures!!
Unloading the gifts in the Power House. The sunscreen is in the bottles with the purple caps right by the lady's head. She's removing one of the footballs and on the table in front of her is a 2pk cameras and a hand held game.

Pennywhistles, with instructions and CD tutorials. Note she's taken out more of the 2pk cameras and set them on the table, and you can see the writing pads in the box on the floor behind her.

It's funny, but I am afraid to link to it for fear that it might actually be offensive instead of funny. It kind of offends everyone, I think.Go ahead and post it Sam. We understand you aren't doing it to be offensive. I don't think we have the type of people on this thread that you are worried about.

Well, I know everyone in the contributors group trusts me, and I appreciate that trust, still...here is one more proof that I am ACTUALLY sending the items!! Like when I saw that drip with my own two eyes...there just isn't anything better than seeing it.

It was fine to post that Sam. Some Christians will find that offensive. I don't.
I think more Christians need to see stuff like that to point out some of the absurdities of things we do and tolerate. We have allowed Easter and Christmas to be commercialized.
I never got the concept of the Easter Bunny. I mean, there's an historic figure who is the basis for Santa Claus, even if we've twisted it. The bunny was just made up, and that's the offensive part, not the article.
We do Easter baskets for the boys. And while we let them believe in Santa, they've always known the baskets were from Mom and Dad. In fact, Jr. started giving us the list of what he wanted in his when he was about five.

The pennywhistles were such an awesome idea. That was rugerman's idea! He sent the five pennywhistles and I ran off the copies of the instruction booklet and made the CD tutorial that accompanies the booklet.

My mother, who was quite devout, considered Easter to be the holiest of holidays, more than Christmas, if anything. However, she still did baskets, I remember fishing pliers being in them once.

The pennywhistles were such an awesome idea. Maybe not for the people who have to listen to them learn. :)
