Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

My brother and the friend I am going with are pretty pumped about it, which is a treat for me, because last year I went by myself to the movie more often than not!
The friend we are going with has not read the books, but she has now watched the FoTR movie with me a few times. She is going to the midnight show because she thinks it will be an adventure!

Did anyone see Elijah Wood on Jay Leno last night?Afraid you missed not much, unless you were really keen to see Elijah pull down his belt to show us his fellowship tatoo - all of the nine got tatooes that say nine in elvish. I was hoping for a nice long clip of the film, but it was brief, brief, brief, the commercials are longer!

Just got my new handle, so I guess I need to re-register to be on the list!
Exactly 24 hours before TTT! (6:30pm)
My favorite character in the book was Gollum (an extraordinary complex and endearing character) followed by Sam (the Sam from TTT and ROTK, not the Sam from FOTR). And my favorite character in the movie was Aragorn. Viggo's airhead comments won't succeed in spoiling my Viggo-Aragorn, so I know I'll just have to enjoy the 2nd movie even more than the first one.
