The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Journey to the Cross-roads
The Two Towers Edition
Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)
Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

Well, I asked her quickly if he was 'over there' and she said yes. And she mentioned the packages she was sending, mostly snacks. Mentioned how expensive it was getting for her pocket book. I asked if he was with the group that lost their store to a fire and she looked a little puzzled, which is kind of her usual face too, so who knows. I will give her a call.

Speaking of which, I better go prepare my fruit salad dinner to take to work tonight.

Moot lurkers are fun! - we'd get the real story, not the cleaned up version!

What you're doing now seems fine. I know NOTHING about dieting (which is why I look the way I do LOL). I've heard "basic" works...smaller portions and exercise.
To lose weight fast I know Atkins works great with a lot of people. I lost 6 pounds my first week, but then holidays came, etc. etc. and my willpower just wasn't there. I might go back on it so I can lose some quickly for me CA trip.
I know I see ads for ediet.com ALL THE TIME when I go to my Yahoo mail. Don't know if it's any good though.

Thanks, Rosie. I am trying to remember the conversation better. She was leaving and I was holding up the line, but she said mostly how worried she was about him, and that she finally heard from him the night before last night. It is possible he is either in Iraq or Afghanistan.

Anybody want to bet we get visited by a couple of drunk dwarves sometime in the night?
Should we post guards?

If we turn off all of the lights and leave a couple platters of bacon outside, they may just eat and leave!
If all else fails, we can start piping Elf tunes out a window!

You don't know the half of it. When I was rooming with my friend Jen, I got us digital cable so we could get BBCAmerica because over the New Year's Holiday they ran EVERY episode in a big marathon. We each bought a set of blank tapes and she manned the TV upstairs while I manned the TV in the basement. I even slept down there on the couch with an alarm going off every so often so I could change tapes.
So we have every episode on tape :-D (to be soon replaced by the DVDs as they become available lol)

Ok you coputer geniuses....remember the problem I was having with my comp? It was running on only 24-30% resources free.
ecurb..you told me to do 'WINTOP' to see what programs were taking up what resources...I have Windows ME and it doesn't have that. Does ME have anything that does that...under a different name? I know you gave me a website to download it from but I can't get IE or Netscape to work.
I know I've been told to just use my startup disc and restore it and I will if it's my last resort. I'm just wondering if there's somewhere else on ME I can go to to find out what is running at what percent. Any ideas??
