The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

I'm not in school....I served my time already.

It's a cheesy movie, but I love the opening number from Grease 2

"The Board of Education took away my parole, I gotta go back, back, back to school...."

We're not mad at you Hair. And you know I always get a little edgy around Freepathon time.

I am turning in now. I've been moving e-mail files. With little success. Ended up saving mine as documents. Tried to forward the Mrs' files, but it didn't work. Did manage to export the address books successfully though.

g'nite

I think at this point it would be easier to fit a camel through the eye of a needle than for the Religion forum to get along.

Corin, I am really clumsy at this stuff. I am not a bit worried about the status of your salvation or mine... I am worried about your posting privileges!

ROTK Trailer Out With Matrix II?
4/09/03, 12:20 am EST - Xoanon

T-MACK writes: I work for a movie theatre in the midwest, and each week they release an upcoming films slate. What caught my attention was The Matrix: Reloaded blurb. It read that The Matrix: Revolutions would premiere its trailer exclusively at the end of the film. But then directly beneath Revolutions it stated Lord of the Rings. They usually say the trailers showing with the film, so this is common.

The Matrix: Reloaded
May 15
Plus Exclusive The Matrix Revolutions Trailer
The Return of the King

More news as it comes in!

Yawn. G'mornin'

I dunno. Somethin' about stayin' up past 1:00 a.m. made me not too interested in gettin' up at 4:00 to go swim. I'll go workout tonite while Jr. is at youth group.

Cold and rainy again today...

Morning!

Dreary day here, too but it will be a busy one.

The baby beagle went home, much to Big'ol's relief (and the cats'). I don't know who was more exhausted after a day of play- the pup or the hubby. My only gripe is that distinct 'hound' odor now abounds in my house. Oh well, he was cute.

Promises to be a busy day, have to meet with the boss in a few. "Sometime before 8!" she said, "'Cause I have a meeting at 8." I think I'll drop in about ten till to ensure a short encounter. ;) And then I get to finish a briefing so that I can re-write it again next week. Ah well, I'm gainfully employed and should count my blessings.

Good Morning!

Cold, rainy, and dreary today....my instrument still won't run through the night, whine, whine, interview at 9:00 ("well I just show up and do stuff, then go home, dude") so I probably won't get bacon. At least I didn't have a flat tire this morning.

Good morning!

Cold and drippy here, too. We had more snow last night. I want spring! Our April showers have mostly been of the snow variety...

The puppy is darling, lil'freeper! Hope to see more in the coming weeks...

Is your interview to do with your possible move, OT?

Did you know we were in school? - I would have taken better notes!

Never fear Hair. Everytime I ask you to help me with something you come through splendidly. I thought you knew. That was the test.

How about some goodie, or luxury, that she would never expect? Some sort of wonderful surprise?

Guys, I will not turn down someone's blessing even knowing that my kid said she didn't want me to send anything. I would be thinking it was cool for us to send something if one of ya'll had this situation too though. :-)

FYI - cool thing. My son-in-law read LOTR in high school. Since his M-I-L is a fanatic though and with the films his interest has rekindled. For his reading pleasure (if he gets it) when leaving for Iraq my daughter bought him The Hobbit. I told her yesterday that it's my treat to send him the rest of the books. I think that's cool.

Moonshine, gasoline, guns and ammo, New York strip steaks...

Wow, are you sending this to her mom in Texas to send it on to Germany? You better send it to 2J. She's more accountable.
