The Hobbit Hole III - Journey to the Cross-roads!

Posted on 12/17/2002 7:32:02 AM PST by HairOfTheDog

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!

Journey to the Cross-roads

The Two Towers Edition

Come on! Come in! -if you would like to have some seedcakes and a pint and relax a while. (If it is a special occasion, we still have a few bottles of the old wineyards left!)

Our first thread ( New Zealander builds Hobbit hole ) reached 4,100 posts, and we thought that was big. Our second thread (The New Hobbit Hole ) held us for over 48,000 posts, and we loved it dearly. We talked about moving to a new thread for the last 38,000 posts, but we are really slow to muster! Finally, the time has come. Tomorrow (at 12:01 am, to be precise!) The Two Towers comes out, and we start a new chapter.

OT, do you think if I dug up some mint, left some soil on the roots and stuck 'em in the mail ASAP that Rosie would get them alive?

You could start a whole new craze called "Flat Frodo."

Great idea! And I could put together a webpage for it in the Hobbit Hole.

Cool. Reminds me of that couple that did the "Bathrooms of Madison County" website...

I'm going to take flat Frodo for a motorcycle ride to see Texas. He'll be tattered afterward. Hmmmm like my ex's.

Okay. Sounds like Wneighbor should be the last stop on Flat Frodo's tour.

The books came with a bunch of nice packaging material...nice plain sheets of paper that I could smooth out and will be able to re-use.

I'm going to print out your prayer and send it too...I might actually do that today. My mom's church also prayed. The ENTIRE church prayed and wrote down individual prayer commitments for the guy!

I think so. OB sent me some bulbs Priority Mail and they were still green. Maybe if you wrapped a wet paper towel around the roots and dirt .....

Okay, I've got this mint that's called a doublemint. The fragrance is out of this world. I also have several other mints but the double mint is the greatest! If any of you would like me to try and snail mail some then Freepmail me your snailmail address and I'll try to get some off this week. Rosie, you could put it in a pot until you can see dirt.

In the Flat Stanley craze the kids are supposed to make their own Stanley and mail them to someone else.

Instead of wearing out Hair's Frodo we could make our own and take him around and send the pics in to ecurbh.

I wouldn't dream of mailing around Hair's standup Frodo. That would be way to expensive and he'd never recover (nor would she I presume).

I think it would be more fun to have one travel around. But maybe that's just me.

If someone wants to send one quickly, we'll have him join dwarf-moot.

You can't have a Frodo standee at dwarf-moot! You need Gimli!
